I love how the athesists respond, they claim to not debate thesists, but they follow debate religion like it's their religion.

That's the atheists point of view. but lets switch around number 3

and say God does exist, therefore God has a religion.

you labled 2 facts and the third one was a fake. nice try tho.

I should prefer an eternity of pain and suffering to an eternity of subservience to your evil, murderous God.

And the devil isn't?

As I said, I would prefer Hell to your nimbus prison.

ROFL, aight so you would choose hell because???? The fact that God is real, should already change your mind.

That is an outright fabrication. Theologians have no evidence upon which to base this claim; scientists have nothing to test.

You didn't read the book? it was in the bible.

I do not understand your grammar. Please reiterate.

Maybe you should read inbetween the the lines

Curious that your primary motivation to follow Christian teachings is the promise of having your every desire fulfilled. Such a reward seems antithetical to your professed beliefs.

Obviously you want eternal torment, but other people like other things. Ya' know?

To reiterate; genocide, murder, oppression and negligence. Examples include the murder of every first born son of Egypt, guilty or otherwise; the complete annihilation of all life on Earth with the exception of two from each species; the advocacy of slavery (Leviticus 25:45 "Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession."), the condemnation of every non-Christian to an eternity of suffering for any unconfessed sin and finally the callous refusal to intervene in deplorable world events. Naturally, I don't believe he exists, but if He did then the above would be my quarrels with Him.

The fact that you spend so much time searching and researching proves that you do believe in God and that you just do not like Him.

From what I have seen in history, there is little distinction to be made betwixt them.

You just proved that you believe in Demons! because otherwise you couldn't compare them to something real, like Christians.

Presumably one massive church.

And you will be in one massive hell

No.

You would probably be forced to sing in hell anyways,

A redundant statement.

Because it's true or you don't have anything to say. Which one?

That depends upon what hell is. There is no universally accepted image.

A hell where torment is the only thing you feel for eternity. Being uncormfortable.

You obviously didn't understand the question properly, it was stating if there was a heaven or hell which would you go and why. Your answer was only based on the fact that you want to be the opposite of theists proving my point that i started a thread on Atheists picking on theists.

I will be the one enjoying myself up there while i watch you work your butt off to feed the fires of heaven. While you get whipped and be told the words of God.

4 points

You just contridicted yourself and said that you would love to go to hell, and then you said you would love to go to heaven if you had a choice? But im guessing it is a typo and you would like to go to hell because our tagged as "Hell" which is fine since weather is all that matters and torment for all your life is fine as long as its warm down there.

You obviously don't get it, life isn't about having fun all the time. It is about proving if you're a good person the fact that you say you will sin in the future just shows all of us you admit that you will do bad in the future and you won't stop it. Just because you don't believe in God doesn't mean you have to result to being the worst person in the world just because you know there isn't an afterlife.

I'm pretty sure when Denis said that he was referring to the fact that everyone sins and no one can stop it so he was just restating the fact that was already their in a more clever appraoch.

I don't know why this is even a debate this should be a prespective because it is who wants to go where it is not asking where you think the next guy posting above you is going to go. Thread starter is dumb.

God will send you to hell, he won't even preach or talk to you.

Why should he? You are already the weakness of the weak.

You're too under. You cant be put back. It's over, it is over.

"Why discuss Star Trek or The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy if you don't believe in Vorgons or Cardassians?

It's a personal interest. Fiction may be discussed without believing in it. Further, the prevalence of religion in our lives makes it useful to learn about it."

God isn't a fiction, atheists only believe it is a fiction because they don't want to accept the fact they are dumb and weak. They can only try to pick on theists because they believe that by doing so they could make this world a better place. BUT THEY ARE WRONG.

"Believing that you are the centre of the universe, immortal, and judged by a cosmic entity is indefensible. That's why it is a soft target."

Chrisitian's don't believe they are the centre of the universe, immortal or judged by a cosmic entity.... I'm sorry sir but you obviously do not know what a Christian is. A Chrisitian is someone who respects God. They are not the centre of the universe they know that. They know that they are just a little small pawn that god can see from up above. They know that they will never be immortal. They pray because they God always helps them. YOU won't understand and never will. I feel sorry for you. Maybe when you reach the pearly gates of heaven and it is your time to go. God will ask you why should you be here. And you won't have a answer. All you will do is go to the depths of the underworld where you belong. Atheist.

"Almost every single study conducted demonstrates that the more intelligent you are, the less likely you are to believe in a god or gods."

If that is true than why is the person that is running America right now, a Christian ? Being a Christian or believing in something is totally different from actually being intelligent. Also they're different types of intelligents so you have to be more specific.

"Religion is a comfortable blanket that makes people feel they "belong" and creates an illusion of immortality. "

Wow your first sentence is so flawed and incorrect. Christian's repent when they do something wrong and they know that no matter how many times they try to repent they will always be at fault, because they are not worthy. You are saying that religious people think that they exclude themselves from other people and act as if they are going to be living a unending life? Christian's know that they have to earn their rightful place if they want to be in heaven. Choosing to believe in God does not make you create an illusion of immortality, in fact it lowers all your defenses and you have to learn to accept anything that happens in your life.
