Not unless she grows a brain before 2012! How can we elect a person to be the leader of the Free World when she doesn't even know that Africa is a continent? Nevermind, G.W. Bush won two terms! In this country, any idiot can win!!

Look little boy, I didn't answer you because I have been dealing with the deaths of my mother and my sister. I don't spend ALL of my time on the computer, especially to have someone who is truly IGNORANT of the TRUE teachings of Jesus Christ. He taught that we should love thy neighbor and to love thy enemy! You seem to focus on the really apocalyptic writings in the (partial) Bible. You really must be a miserable person to have that much hate in your heart. Heaven has NO room for hate. I will pray for you.

Sorry Rectitude, I have to disagree with you on this one. Mostly because you mentioned pedophiles and rapists. I believe people like them will NEVER change, there is something wrong with their consciences and I think they should be locked away for the rest of their lives. They will always be a danger to the people they targeted to begin with.

Whipping them will not take away what is wrong with their minds and I know this from personal experience, unfortunately.

No, death will be easy. It's the part right before you die that I fear. I don't want to suffer, I want it to be quick. That's all I ask from God, well not really all I ask. That's all I ask concerning death.

I don't think the answer is to force old people into retirement. They have lived much longer and experienced much more. Though I do think that old people that continue to cling to outdated ideas should be voted out as quickly as possible!

Some of the greatest political movements came from the younger generations. The Equal Rights Act was almost exclusively supported by the younger generation in the 50's and 60's.

Thank you! It is human nature to judge. Christians get mocked and are unfairly represented in the media all the time. The news media, at any prostest involving Christians, will always interview the most right-wing zealot in the crowd. That's what non-Christians see and it's quite embarrassing.

I believe we are on a personal journey on this planet and the decisions we make (political views, religion, lifestyle) is none of my business nor anyone else's business. I am Christian and I find myself judging people but then I try to mentally reprimand myself. That probably sounds a little cooky but it seems to work for me.

I feel I am in the middle but just a little to the left. It really depends on the issue at hand.

When nothing goes right, go left!

You are most welcome. I hope that horrible reaction to your comment will not leave you with a bad opinion of Christians. We are not all like that.

Thank you for the reference to Ludovici, I like that. When you struggle with your faith and question the things you were raised to believe, it can be very difficult, to say the least. I have been on my journey to knowledge and understanding for a long time. Answers are not easy to come by.

Not just no, but Hell No! Even without the prophetic implications, it would be a total invasion of privacy. We are all human and we will all make mistakes, at some point.

Even if they said they only wanted to monitor people for signs of terroristic activity or major criminal activity (i.e. rape, murder or armed robbery), eventually that would be extended by Big Brother. They may decide that they would like to use it for other purposes that I don't even want to consider. Just the thought makes me extremely paranoid and I'm not naturally inclined to have paranoid delusions. Big Brother can mind their own business!

Oh, that was very Christian of you. Have you even read the teachings of Christ? By your response, I would say no. Please start reading, you have a lot of studying to do.

Though I do not know that person and I have no reason to do this, I would like to apologize on his/her behalf. Jesus Christ was about loving thy neighbor and turning the other cheek. He didn't scream at the Pharisees that they would burn in a lake of fire whenever they questioned him or his teachings. He spoke with wisdom and eloquence.

"I dare you to think"! That was a good one.

For those on here wanting to judge or condemn people for questioning the existence or the divinity of Christ, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Even Mother Theresa struggled with her faith, she admitted that in an interview before her death. If you have never questioned your faith, then you really don't have faith. What you have is called brainwashing.

Good point. Actually, early Christians never even spoke of the divinity of Christ, they only followed his teachings. His divinity was declared centuries after the crucifixion when Rome, basically, became the center of Christianity. That one detail, alone, should make people stop and think.

I identify myself as a Christian, though I have struggled with the divinity of Christ for that very reason. Why wasn't he considered to be divine by those who followed him while he walked the Earth? I still consider myself a Christian because I follow his teachings and believe he was sent here for a special purpose.

In a way, I kind of understand the negative views/feelings towards white people. I have read history books written by non-whites and learned a lot about the race that I belong to. White people have tried to dominate the world, basically, throughout history. White people even subjugated and enslaved other white people. I am of Irish decent and the Irish were discriminated against by the British and, when they came to US, the Americans.

There were signs posted at public establishments, such as restaurants and pubs, that read No Irish Allowed. Employers refused to hire them because they were viewed as "lazy and drunkards". The only fields that were really open to the Irish in the US were those invovling public service such as firemen and policemen. That was because they were dangerous jobs and didn't pay well. They were considered like 2nd class white people.

But I have relatives that are non-white including cousins that are of Latino and African decent. I was taught by my parents to judge people based on their character and not skin color, religion, etc. I have passed that lesson to my own children. With each generation comes a new understanding, as long as parents are willing to teach their children respect for all human beings.

In conclusion, I think with all the communication tools we have available to us, all people should be able to find some understanding about the people and cultures that surround them. They should be able to see that there are good and bad people in every race.

There is historical evidence that supports the existence of Jesus Christ. The only thing that can't be proven is whether or not he was divine. That all depends on faith.

You really don't know me or what I would do. Why so many Caps and exclamation points? Did I strike a nerve?

Real men don't hit women. I volunteered for a Battered Womens' Shelter for years. In my experience, men that hit women are really wimps because if they are faced with someone (a man) who matches their strength, they look like they are about to piss their pants.

You are a bully and I feel sorry for you. Bullies treat people the way they treat them because they are trying to make up for their own inadequacies. I want to apologize to you for one thing and one thing only, I let a debate turn personal and that goes against my own beliefs about debating.

I am glad not to know you in person, you are not worthy of my friendship or my time. Therefore, I will not argue with you anymore. Argue with yourself, if it pleases you.

I don't think extending the school year is going to help the decline of quality education in this country. Our problem is how we, as a society, view education and if we emphasize the importance of an education to our children.

Parents must emphasize the importance of education to their children and get involved directly with their children's educations. Many parents in this country don't do that, unfortunately.

The government must stop focusing on silly things such as whether or not a child has a rip in the knee of their jeans. Instead they need to focus on whether or not that child has a strong foundation in reading, writing and math. Then build upon that foundation.

I've thought much about this myself. The only thing I can think of is to actually dissolve the DNC and the RNC, not allow party affiliation on ballots, campaign ads, etc. We make campaign finance reforms, allow anyone that wants to run participate in televised debates and allot funds for all cadidates to run televisions ads.

Our first President George Washington said political parites were dangerous and should not be allowed in our political process. I believe he was right.

Yeah, I've read what happens to people, especially women, who say no to "arranged-not forced" marriages.

Beneficial to whom? Only to the people who are getting money, land and/or power in return for that marriage...and that's usually the parents or the groom!

I bet you believe in female circumcision, I mean mutilation, also.

One name...Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

If you don't know someone, how do you know they would be a good wife, mother and person? Does she come with good references or something? If so, how do those people know if she has never been a wife or a mother?

"Psychology things" might help you. I highly recommend it, I studied psychology and believe me, you have issues dude!

Nice link, is that the only vagina you're able to see, the ones in pictures on the internet? I bet it is. Awwww....it's okay, don't be afraid to say it. I won't laugh, I promi....sorry couldn't lie! I would soooo laugh, in fact I'm laughing right now because I know I have figured you out.

I only shared a little about myself that I am not ashamed to share. The only people who should be ashamed are my attacker and you. You should be ashamed because you have no compassion, no conscience. The only other people those qualities are missing from are serial killers. Do you go around killing prostitutes and fornicating with their dead corpses? So! You have seen vagina somewhere besides the internet!

By the way, I would say it to your face! Ask everyone that knows me, male or female. If you'd like to fly on over to the US and the state of Georgia, I'll be glad to say it to your face. I don't take too kindly to threats, especially from ignorant morons.

1 point

Thank you for agreeing with me. The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. Congratulations, now that you've admitted you are sexist maybe you can get some help for it. The women who agree with you need to be deprogrammed, sounds as if they've been brain washed or they're too frightened to disagree.

By the way, I never said EVERYBODY in the UK and the US are well off and enjoy happy lives with nothing wrong happening to them. I just said they are protected as in...they don't have to witness events like what happens in Iraq, Afghanistan or Sudan on a daily basis right outside their front doors. That's what I mean by protected. I am far from well off but I do okay for my family. I support a family of 6 and I am damn proud of that! It is not easy and we have to make sacrifices but we get by.

As far as you really caring, respecting and loving women...well, that's a matter of opinion now, isn't it?

1 point

Thank you! You are absolutely correct! But you don't have to repeat it over and over again. We get the point.

No, turning up on Sunday doesn't make you Christian, many are hypocrites or go for "political" reasons. You would know that if you had ever attended any Christian church on a regular basis.

"The Kingdom of God is all around you, it is within you"-Gospel of St. Thomas. Oh, but you're probably not aquainted with that now, are you? If His Kingdom is within me and I was created in His image, I believe I know Him well. Too bad for you, you don't sound like you know anything bigger than yourself.

"I don't think the Christian God would've made the effort with the Bible" sounds like you were saying God wrote it to me.

Hello!! I never said I wasn't a Christian, I said I don't attend a "traditional" church. They only focus on local gossip and who's who in the community and it disgusts me.

Worshiping as I said before can happen anywhere, anytime and in many different forms. Getting on your knees in your home and praying to God is worshiping. If God required our attendance to a building of wood and stone to worship him, then all the invalids, poor people living too far away without transportation, etc. would just be condemned according to you.

I NEVER said I was not proud to be a Christian, I just believe that "traditional" churches do not help anyone but the ones who USE it to gain prestige in their communities or the "preachers/pastors" USE it to line their pockets (i.e. Jim Baker, Jimmy Swaggert). But you probably don't know who they are, do you? You are after all, Hindu and you don't know anything about Christianity. Why do you keep leaving comments about subjects you don't know anything about?

1 point

By the way, aren't you Hindu? Your argument shows me that you know little to nothing about Christianity or the Bible. At least, try to gain some knowledge about a subject before you inject your views.
