Several studies have noted that 'ship data are systematically warmer than the buoy data' and that buoy data are 'more accurate,' the researchers write. Since buoys have increased in use over time and ships have decreased in use, there is a “time-dependent bias” in the global ocean temperature record"

"Karl and his co-authors point out that “it is also clear that the long-term trend would be significantly higher … without corrections” to the raw data. In other words, compared with the raw data, the adjusted data show less warming over the long-term."

Even if you DON'T believe in science, you can just look around.

You probably don't remember when we threw our trash on the ground, but I do... I guess we DID that because we thought we had SOOOOO much ground, that nobody would notice the trash..

But, they did..

We ALSO thought that the ocean was SOOOOO big, that nobody would notice if we threw our trash into it..

But, they did...

Now, we're throwing our trash into the air, I guess because we think there's SOOOOO much of it, nobody will notice if we deposit our trash there.

But, they are.. You could too.. And, you don't have to read any science books. All you gotta do is look around.

That's one of those "alternate facts" the right seems to live by. Then there's the rest of the world's facts. China, one of the world's worst polluters has "fact checked" that crap and now are doing more than the right wing will allow this country to do .... reducing coal use, building YUGE wind farms and solar sectors, but, what do they know compared to our fearless leader. HE is the only one who can save U.S. all!

Think of the thousands of jobs wind generators and solar panel building can create while WE put a few hundred coal miners back in their black lung jobs (with likely no health care they can afford!), and allow their CEO's to pollute the air and water around the rest of U.S.! Smart ... I guess they want us to live 3/4's of the lives the Chinese do
