The Mongols allowed the people in the cities that they took over to carry on with their own individual religions despite if they were wre different from one another.
The Mongols increased communication throughout Eurasia and reopened the Silk Road, which allowed for goods, ideas, cuisine, etc., to be spread throughout the continents again.
Women had a lot more freedom and rights than most during that time period. They could control domestic affairs, divorce their husbands, and were trusted advisors.
Being tolerant of religions was not a common thing when the Mongols were around and before. Religion caused wars and battles between areas. The Mongols were accepting that everyone had their own thoughts and they did not fight people because of their religion.
I agree with this statement, and because they were able to spread trade, many more connections were being made between different countries and cities, allowing foreign exchanges and alliances to be formed throughout the trade routes.

They killed millions of innocent lives and continued to force them to either surrender or to be murdered by some of the warriors trying to take over their cities.
During the Siege of Bukhara, around a thousand soldiers that didn't want to surrender to the Mongols took refuge in a mosque, thinking that the Mongols wouldn't kill them.
