Adam and Eve married not Adam and Steve

Add New Argument

Adam and Steve did not marry. Neither did Adam and Eve. There was no church. There was no officiant. Thus, no wedding. Looks like it is all a big scam. Surprise twist!

Unless they married in Eden, then they also had no witness, no 'home of god', no pastor, no ceremonial bands.

I'm an inexperienced, never married, non Christian so that's all I know about the things required for a traditional Christian wedding, so imagine all the things I must be leaving out.

The definition of Marriage: the formal union of a man and a woman, typically recognized by law, by which they become husband and wife.

Recognition by law is not inherently required for marriage.

In fact why should a legal medium exist? Shouldn't the two lovers be able to decide for themselves?

I never mentioned legal marriage, but thanks for playing.

Adam and Steve are probably two consenting adults, who want the benefits of having a life partner.

Also not Dave and Becky or John and Alice or....if that was rhe requirement, I suspect we'd have different naming conventions, or a lot fewer weddings.

But yet it's OKAY to fuck your mother, sister, brother and father to populate the World? I see makes perfect sense coming from the book of morals, I see, I see got ya!

How else would you populate the world? Would you do so through budding? What if God used evolution to populate the world? The incest would be an unavoidable fate.

People who support gay marriage don't have the burden of the contradiction of incest.

If Adam and Steve were both created, they would have been married. Maybe Steve was created before Eve was.
