Marijuana is NOT a gate way drug. The fact that because it is illegal and only available on the black market is the gate way drug. Im sure if we looked back to the prohibition era the number of people who consumed alcohol and then went on to try other drugs would be enough to call it a "gate way drug". The fact of the matter is Marijuana is not mentally addicting. If you are REFERing to people who "smoke weed everyday and dont give a fuck" that they are mentally addicted to using cannabis I could say people who go to church everyday are "mentally addicted' to religion using the same logic. What you fail to see is that a marijuana and alcohol are two very differant things. Marijuana does not cause you to loose control of your motor skills, slur your words, make vision difficult, or increase your agression. Instead you become more relaxed, ideas in the brain seem to flurish more quickly (from personal experiance I am a much better artist while under the infulence of Cannabis), and things seem more enjoyable. Booze is a way to escape, weed is a way to enhance.
