Western civilization is on the verge of collapse due to the erosion of moral principles, and values as depicted in the scriptures of the Christian Faith. Throughout the U.S, and Europe deaths caused by drug overdoses and suicides have reached all time highs. Dependence on anti-depressants has also reached unprecedented high levels, especially among the young. This breakdown of western civilisation is graphically illustrated in the horrific scenes of 100s of 1000s of homeless people living rough,urinating and openly defecating in the thoroughfares of our towns and cities. The absence of fair play and integrity within the multinational corporate giants has resulted in companies such as Amazon contributing virtually zilth, by way of tax, to the communities from which they amass vast trading profits. As the Muslim population continues to rise in all western societies, so the influence of Islam increases. For those people who are seeking guidance and something to believe in the Islamic faith will most likely fill the void created by the decline of Christianity and we will see the harsher order of Islam emerging, and eclipsing the traditional faiths throughout the western nations. The rejection of Christian morality by western societies has not been replaced with an adequate personal ethical code of practise so crime rates rise and life becomes a hollow, meaningless existence for 10s of millions. Throughout history the most advanced civilisations self destructed, and we in the west are well on the way to self imposed oblivion. 0

@Antrim Of course, all those problems are caused by a lack of good ol' fashioned christian morality. Part of the "enlightenment era" which lead to the capitalism you love was an outgrowing of the christian superstitions that were once inseparable from the state, which upheld the great christian principles such as stoning gays and allowing slavery. |
