Well, i see no reason for it not to be! I mean, who wants a government full of morons! Well unfortunately her in England we have one, and it's not going well! Of course if the country is clever enough, then we wouldn't have stupid people voting for someone because "he's got nice hair dunn'he!" If the country were clever enough, they could go with the government, instead of constantly kicking up riots. Side: Agree

Good question. It depends on the type of government. If the government is trying to control people than you don't want them to be very smart/independent etc. If it's a government were the people have power, yes. The topic of what is good for a government is an interesting one. What is good for the population? You have to think about what the governments motives are. If the government wants what's good for the people than knowledge and education are vital. Don't get me wrong there are countries with very powerful controlling governments who value education greatly. But they still have limits on what they can learn about. Severe limits. Side: Disagree

It depends on what type of government. A government led by big companies for example hates smart people. Smart people will not buy their products. So, they usually try to keep them on their side in exchange of large amounts of money. But in a government led by the people, it is good to have an intellectual population. Side: Disagree
