Are "Anarcho-Communists" really anarchists?

No

Side Score: 4
VS.

Yes

Side Score: 7

Communists will always rely on collectivist ideals, and collectivism always results in force and the formation of some authority.

Side: No

It more like mob rule style democracy, just with a different name. It is quite hard to take Anarcho-Democrats seriously...

(And no, Democrats was in reference to supporters of democracy, not the Democratic Party.)

Side: No
2 points

Pure communism is anarchy. That was what Marx believed would be the final utopian end after revolution and after some evolving social contexts. So I'm not sure I understand the question.

Side: Yes
1 point

There are different ideologies of Anarchism. There is no "true" Anarchy.

Anarcho-Communists feel the same way about Anarcho-Capitalists.

It's just different philosophies based on a similar philosophy, the idea of eliminating the "state."

Side: Yes
1 point

Anarcho communists are really not against the state given their attachment to collectivism, and all collectivism results in force due to some grandiose plan not properly carried out. If one individual doesn't believe in the plan, it will fail, and force is required.

Side: No

There are no rules for who gets to be an anarchist. A belief in no governmental authority fits the definition. Communist Utopia is anarchistic.
