Absolutely NOT! Once you pass through the birth canal, you are ON YOUR OWN! And .... you OWE them and their "contributors" for the RIGHT to live. You don't pay up, you can die! You get a disease, you can die! You get paralyzed, you can die! You can't afford enough education to support yourself in their "profit taking world", you can die. You get pregnant and unable, for some reason to carry, you can die! (Opening purposely left for FW). Nope, once you take a breath, you're a lazy liberal until you get a job, or can continue ripping people off with your daddy's money ... then you can join their "prolife" group. Side: No.

The short answer is that it depends on which Republican and whose life. If by prolife you mean against killing anybody ever, the answer is no. If by prolife you mean in favor of people in general being alive, then answer is yes. The long answer follows. First, NEITHER the Republican nor the Democrat party is composed of all war hawks or doves regarding any war. Both parties favor killing people in war as a part of the package of diplomatic realities. Bear in mind that there has always been a big difference between what various voters who identify as Republicans (or Democrats) believe and what the "Party Leadership" and the politicians declare to be the party platform, especially regarding issues like abortion and the death penalty. For example, close to half of the Republicans I have ever known are fine with abortions prior to 20 weeks, and think that the choice should be left to the mother, without government interference. By the same token, at least half of the Republicans I know are against the death penalty. This obviously does not address the conflict between the positions regarding the death penalty and abortion. The inconsistency of both parties in their valuation of life has always bothered me as philosophically untenable. Side: No.
