Who cares what people think from another nation. Spew your hatred towards politicians in your own country. Americans who elected Trump know what is best for this naton. The ceritifed nuts are the ones who keep electing Liberals no matter how pathetically terrible they are in all areas of leadership. The only people who are better off after eight years of Liberal leadership are able bodied people living off tax payers. Working Americans voted for Trump because they understand what made America great. lol. She's on a mission to shift funding from public to charter schools and to disband the DOE and her only qualification is she is loaded and hyper funded conservative agendas. No, that's not a bully at all. But my point is Trump himself. To his supporters he can say and do anything so long as it's a middle finger to Washington or Democrats or anything not conservative. I think you have every reason to be concerned ....from The opinion ..... BOSTON — At the rightmost edge of the Christian conservative movement, there are those who dream of turning the United States into a Christian republic subject to “biblical laws.” In the unlikely figure of Donald J. Trump, they hope to have found their greatest champion yet. He wasn’t “our preferred candidate,” the Christian nationalist David Barton said in June, but he could be “God’s candidate.” Consider the president-elect’s first move on public education. Jerry Falwell Jr., the president of Liberty University, the largest Christian university in the nation, says that he was Mr. Trump’s first pick for secretary of education. Liberty University teaches creationism alongside evolution. When Mr. Falwell declined, President-elect Trump offered the cabinet position to Betsy DeVos. In most news coverage, Ms. DeVos is depicted as a member of the Republican donor class and a leading advocate of school vouchers Betsy DeVos stands at the intersection of two family fortunes that helped to build the Christian right. In 1983, her father, Edgar Prince, who made his money in the auto parts business, contributed to the creation of the Family Research Council, which the Southern Poverty Law Center identifies as extremist because of its anti-L.G.B.T. language. Her father-in-law, Richard DeVos Sr., the co-founder of Amway, a company built on “multilevel marketing” or what critics call pyramid selling, has been funding groups and causes on the economic and religious right since the 1970s. Ms. DeVos is a chip off the old block. At a 2001 gathering of conservative Christian philanthropists, she singled out education reform as a way to “advance God’s kingdom.” In an interview, she and her husband, Richard DeVos Jr., said that school choice would lead to “greater kingdom gain.” And so the family tradition continues, funding the religious right through a network of family foundations — among others, the couple’s own, as well as the Edgar and Elsa Prince Foundation, on whose board Ms. DeVos has served along with her brother, Erik Prince, founder of the military contractor Blackwater. According to Conservative Transparency, a liberal watchdog that tracks donor funding through tax filings, these organizations have funded conservative groups including: the Alliance Defending Freedom, the legal juggernaut of the religious right; the Colorado-based Christian ministry Focus on the Family; and the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. Nothing in this article gives me reason to be concerned. there are those who dream of turning the United States into a Christian republic subject to “biblical laws.” They can dream all they like, but this is a prime example of why the founding fathers drafted the Constitution as they did. Just because they want it doesn't mean they can do it. Jerry Falwell Jr. Like the article says, he turned it down, so I don't care and a leading advocate of school vouchers I like the idea of the voucher system. My wife and I live in a decent neighborhood, but I don't like the school district (was combined with a city school district some years ago) and I like the idea of being able to use my tax dollars to send her to the school of our choice. Betsy DeVos stands at the intersection of two family fortunes that helped to build the Christian right. In 1983, her father, Edgar Prince, who made his money in the auto parts business, contributed to the creation of the Family Research Council, which the Southern Poverty Law Center identifies as extremist because of its anti-L.G.B.T. language. She has money and her father wasn't a great guy...so what? Her father-in-law, Richard DeVos Sr., the co-founder of Amway Still not a reference to Betsy, so I don't care At a 2001 gathering of conservative Christian philanthropists, she singled out education reform as a way to “advance God’s kingdom.” People are entitled to their beliefs. Even as an atheist who often has debates here about religion, I fully support a person's right to worship as they please. school choice would lead to “greater kingdom gain.” She can frame it however she likes, and from a Christian perspective she might not be wrong. I'm sure there are plenty of Christian parents that would love for their children to go to a Christian school but simply can't afford it; the voucher program would help them. And so the family tradition continues, funding the religious right through a network of family foundations So what? She has money and funds organizations she believes in. Again, this is her right. More than 2/3 of this article isn't even about her and what is doesn't give me reason to be concerned. I don't care if her religion is her motivation for the decisions she makes or the programs she wants to implement. If her beliefs infringe on another's, that's when I take issue, but that's not the case (at least not yet). All I know is we have a broken education system and the fact we are 14th in education is laughable. Why would they admit they are worried? To some of them he is their sun and stars, others are starting to question him which is a good thing. DeVos is worrying to me, she has zero experience working in education yet she is going to be holding a high office over it, she has zero experience in public schools yet she has pushed to divert federal funds from public schools to private schools. For those who hold religion over education, she is their queen. While I think the idea of educational choice 'could' be appealing I also think it would potentially lead to a further the divide between classes. Basically requiring people to purchase their level of education and making it harder for those in the lower class to gain any form of status. Our public schools need help, that much is certain, and what has been done to improve them is in danger. She didn't earn her way to the position, she bought it and she expects to have influence in exchange for campaign contributions. I would LOVE to hear something good about her because what little I've found that's good is totally overshadowed by the bad. So....what you're saying is you don't have anything good to say about her either? Also, which cities are "progressive run cities"? Also again, it's "cite", you want me to cite you a source. One more also, and I can't stress this enough....you don't debate, so it's not really worth citing multiple sources when you refuse to lose your broken record rhetoric and consistent nonsensical spams, but please....surprise me. What I would like from you and pretty much anyone, give me some information that sheds a better light on her. 1

We have bigger fish to fry because Democrats are all jacked up. And seeing the left gave no concern for this issue, we are forced to oppose you by all means necessary. "And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands." REVELATION 20:4 "For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be." MATTHEW 24:21 "But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison." LUKE 21:12 1

I don't know yet if I'm a Trump supporter, but here's my point: 1. Stupid is as stupid does 2. Trump has a right, as President, to appoint whoever the fuck he wants 3. let's wait until one of the people he appoints actually does something because we could say they are morons but let's wait one year to see what damage is actually done to our country. Wouldn't you say? 1

Hi, I know it's off topic, but I have an excellent debate that I wanted to share with you guys: http://www.createdebate.com/debate/show/ On topic: I think we should have less gun-control laws. I think if more people had guns, there's a good probability we'd have less shootings. |
