Are We Going To Call It "Coincidence" That Habitual Liars Always Tend To Be On The Right?

Before I had any political views at all (or at least before I knew about them), one of the first things which drove me to the left was the dishonesty of the right. Early on I was able to see (if not identify) the abuses of reason being used to support and proliferate their ideas. A little later I began to question whether it was dishonesty at all, because too often the emotion on display clarified that perhaps these people actually believed the things they were saying. I began gradually to view it more as a type of self-deception, in which the liar has evolved a defence against the biological signs of deception by mastering the art of deceiving themselves. This is when I first began to see the remarkable similarities between Conservative ideology and Christian ideology.

In any case, although this would obviously only be an extremely limited sample study, we can see that the general principle holds true empirically for this board. The contributors here who use dishonesty and sophism in their argumentation are almost invariably on the right. There seems to be a measurable divide in the *intent* of left versus right wing contributors. Those on the left (e.g. Wolfgang, Grenache, Catninja, Rattbag) seem to want to establish facts, while those on the right (e.g. Bronto, Outlaw, Amarel, Antrim) seem to want to establish myths.

The man who says he doesn't tell lies is a liar.

Check out those of your own U.K., loony left starting from such compulsive liars as Harold Wilson's '' the pound in your pocket will not be unaffected by devaluation' Tony Blair and his claim of ''Iraq's weapons of mass destruction''through to the present day Jeremy Corbyn's pre-election promise to annul all student debt, which according to 'The Guardian' stands at 100 billion pounds sterling.

This dangerous leftie liar denies having made this statement despite clearly doing so on B.B.C's Andrew Marr Show.

The Labour Party is at loggerheads trying to choose which one of these three prize liars should be anointed the Party's 'Patron Saint of Liars'.

Get your own house in order there limey before you come on here spewing out your anti American communist drivel.

The debate says "habitual liars" so thanks for the idiotic pseudo-platitude.

Tony Blair and his claim of ''Iraq's weapons of mass destruction

Tony Blair was not on the left. Are you smoking crack cocaine? He was a closet Tory who sold out the core values of the entire Labour Party -- the ones Corbyn is still struggling to rebuild a decade later.

Also, predictably no mention of the fact he was getting his information from the ultra-fascist Bush Administration over the pond.

Jeremy Corbyn's pre-election promise to annul all student debt

How can that be a "lie" if he was not elected to the position of British Prime Minister? Losing the election makes him a liar does it?

You are as crooked as a boomerang. What on Earth possessed you to come into a thread alleging habitual liars always tend to be on the right, and start repeatedly lying? Personal idiocy or sarcasm?

I'll give you a pass on this one since you say you're from Britain. In America, we voted against Hillary Clinton, of the left, because you couldn't trust her to tell you what color the sky was. I've seen you lie like it's going out of style on here, from there aren't two sets of laws in the OT to eugenics didn't come from the left, and even Muslims don't invade or attack other countries, and finally that Grenache is on the left.

That's funny! If I was outhouse 60 I'd be LMFAO, but I'm not.

The fact checkers have Trump telling an average of 5 lies a day, well over a thousand in his short tenure! Bet he upped his average to at least 6 a day last night! You couldn't add up a thousand on Hillary since she was First Lady! I doubt you could get to a C-note (unless you went to a RW, ...er ... fact finder). Not bad for a politician, to be "factual". Most of Hillary's "lies" were "twisted FAUX facts". A shame we, on the left, can't use that right wing advantage-giver, the "Alternate fact". Compared to Trump, Hillary is George Washington's SISTER!

This is what makes me really scratch my head. Many on the right seem to believe their president being an absolutely massive liar is a cause for celebration. At the very least they don't particularly care one way or the other. What message does it send to the rest of the world that the citizens of the only remaining superpower don't have a problem being led by a pathologically dishonest man?

Yes, we know all about the liberal fact checkers that are really the liberal media that are literally the Democratic Party, who are literally the fact checkers. Rinse, wash repeat.
