Are all citizens entitled to guns?
The 2nd ammendment of the United States Constitution guarantees the right to bear arms. Do you think that because of this right, all citizens should be allowed to bear arms? Or do you think that this right should pertain more to war than to civilian right given the fact that this ammendment has to do more with the militia? Please state your opinion.

The second amendment, like all the other amendments, covered more than just one thing. It gave the state and government the right to organize a well-regulated militia in order to protect the freedom of the state. As well, it gave the right of the PEOPLE (meaning civilians) to have guns. Regulation on just what kind of people can receive these weapons and under what conditions should depend on the State, but completely eliminating the right to bear arms is unconstitutional and tyrannical. The first two amendments are the most important amendments to maintain liberty. Side: Yes!
I do support your argument but i would also argue that all citizens do not have a right to arms. My reasons would be based on the fact that the amendment itself does not cover citizens who have been convicted of a serious felony, who are not in a proper mental state of mind, juveniles or even citizens who were arrested or convicted for domestic violence. Therefore, since the rights guaranteed by the constitution itself are not absolute then it would logically follow that not all citizens are entitled to a gun just like even though a person has freedom of speech they cannot yell fire in a crowd, because there is a limit to what the constitution itself covers and also yelling fire in a crowd has its devastating effects. It can be logically reasoned that in a similar way, giving guns to anyone by arguing that all citizens are entitled to a gun would have its devastating effects and thus lead to more harm than the intended purpose it may have intended to achieve. Revenue authorities or police officials cannot refuse to issue arms license by citing the likelihood of law and order problem as all citizens of the country are entitled to possess weapons, under license, for self defense unless their antecedents or propensities do not entitle them for the privilege, the Madras High Court has ruled. http://www.sbuckinghams.com/categories/ Side: Wedding Waistcoats

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has a startling revelation for 2015. It is projected that deaths from guns will surpass deaths from car fatalities in 2015. An estimated 33,000 Americans will lose their lives from guns as opposed to an estimated 32,000 Americans who will die in car accidents. The gun violence in America is an American Shame! Side: No!
