Absolutely, comics have found a niche in literature that puts them somewhere between prose and drama. Not only is this an excellent way to create new stories it is also a way to create new interpretations of old. While many comics were originally targeted at younger audiences with colorful, idealistic superheroes, novels like Watchmen have proven the depth that even the superhero genre can achieve. And though the vast majority of comics published are in this genre there are any number of comics branching into many different areas of fiction. The industry itself seems to have realized that the comic medium appeals to a wide variety of age groups and has marketed new titles at both younger and older audiences and everything in between. Collecting any type of graphic novel is fun, i collect manga, so far i have 186. When adults do it too, i am sure that it doesn't make that adult nerdy, i think it makes them cooler. My step dad collected comics for a while, and my teacher reads them all, thats why he lets me read them in class. Side: No, adults can red them too

Of course they're for all ages! I mean Watchmen, which came out back in da good 'ol days, was being read by college professors, and being PRAISED by them. It's not just the most revolutionary comic ever made to do this though, i mean, the Civil War event in Marvel comics was very controversial for the time. they were challenging Guantanamo! If anything, it's become less kids only. Or at least less dumb kids only. Side: No, adults can red them too

I know successful business men and women who are very mature adults. Yet in their free time, they break out their very large comic book collections and manga collections to read. people can appreciate the art in comics and be mature adults as well. Side: No, adults can red them too

Most adults are nerds anyways bi-otch! They are one in the same. You should change the aim of this side. Ha-ha. XD PS, I'm in high school and one of the BIGGEST nerds ever, but my dad (ADULT) is the BIGGEST nerd anyone has ever met! He has more comic books than you could ever imagine. My third garage is full of boxes filled to the top with his comics. (I only have a few boxes) XD Side: Comics are for nerds anyway
It's sad, but most comics are no longer suitable for kids. Open any DC or Marvel comic and you'll probably rate them somewhere between PG-13 and R in movie scale. There's tons of violence and fan service. Over the last two decades, comics have really grown up. We now have the opposite problem. There are no longer many comics written for kids. Side: More comics for kids please
