It may be rare to hear cases of a Hindu being attacked by a Jinn or a Christian by a pret, but then it happens as far as stories go. Also there was once shown in a movie (don't remember the name) there was this Christian girl being exorcised by Jewish rituals as the Bishop who was to perform the exorcism died or something. It did work for her. :p..By the way I will be grateful if anyone can let me know the name of this movie the demon which attacked was called Dybbuk.

First, I must ask if explcit evidence for the existence of ghosts can be found. If they are prven to exist then we can begin to speculate and make theories about their nature and how they come into being. If they exist is it because of some religious fact we previously ignored? If so then which religion?

After some of these questions have been studied and sought out for an answer we can determine the wills of ghosts. I would expect them to give care for lost loved ones they can't contact or they may seek revenge, but since we don't know if they exist I will take the negative side.

If there's only one true religion then that will be the only one that would exorcise a ghost/spirit, so it should not all be interchangeable only one all powerful spell (for want of a better word), so maybe there isn't one true religion and all the religions carry a little bit of each other in them, maybe all the God's are real or none of it or maybe the spirits are just as confused as us, or maybe it's all complete hokum and I'm talking complete bollocks who knows, when I get home I'll relax get my mind limber and revisit the question.

No I m catholic and I believe that all those horror movies are not meant to go against religious beliefs, they are only meant for entertainment. If you are sensitive to them than just know that not everyone is going to make sure that its not offensive to religious beliefs. There are other people on this earth and we have to respect that.
