Museums provide safe storage for both natural and manmade artifacts, plus the exhibition of these artifacts to the public. They are the ultimate learning environment. Museums grant access to things that most people would never encounter on their own, complete with an explanation and sometimes an activity to drive it home. And because they’re designed to be fun, learning happens easily and without the stress and anxiety that we associate with school.

Museums are important to the world as they provide information about the history of nations, traditions and cultures which are very useful for the present generation and generations after us. Therefore, museums are important to the world and they should be kept in a good condition.

Museums help us given an insight into the forgotten past. For example, many museums in Singapore allow us to understand the Japanese occupation even better than what we know. Additionally, when we look at the artefacts, it’s crates a more interactive learning experience

Museums are important as it serves to help the future generations. For example, the museums help preserve the hard work and achievements that the people in the past did, like the government of the country who made an impact on what life is today. This suggests that the future generations who come and visit the museum are able to comprehend their history and recognise the achievements and hard work made by those who came before them. Thus, museums are important as it helps the future generations.

Yes, you can read about the past from history books bought from school or libraries but Museums allows you to experience the real thing such as ancient artifacts or antiques which you cannot encounter in books or movies. These artifacts found in museums cannot be replaced as the memory of what had happened hundreds or even thousands of years ago are stored in these objects or writing. Museums are a place where the artifacts can be kept safely and preserved for the next generations to enjoy and experience. Books may provide you knowledge, but museums provide you opportunities to experience things first hand. For example, world war 2 was a tragic event that struck Singapore. Some may argue that it should be a past that should be forgotten, i think that the artifacts from that event should be kept as a reminder of how Singapore had worked as one nation to come out on top and develop the country to what it is today Hence, I do think that museums are indeed very important in the world.

Firstly, I think that museums are important in the world as they hold historical significance. They teach us about their past and what we can learn from their mistakes and achievements. Museums helps to connect us to our past and understand why and how we are living in the world we have now. Artifacts framed can show us what people went through in the past, and how they managed to conquer the difficulties. Artworks and paintings can show us how the painter was feeling at that point of time and their emotions and thoughts of what was happening then. Therefore, I think that museums are important because they hold a significance in historical studies.

MUSEUMS ARE SO IMMENSELY RICH IN HISTORY AND CULTURE, AND WHENEVER WE STEP INTO A MUSEUM, WE BRING HISTORY AND CULTURE INTO OUR LIVES. FROM PAINTINGS, TO SCULPTURES AND ANCIENT ARTIFACTS, THERE IS A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF KNOWLEDGE YOU CAN TAKE FROM JUST A SINGLE MUSEUM. THUS, MUSEUMS CAN TEACH YOU MANY THINGS ABOUT THE HISTORY AND CULTURE AND WILL TEACH THE FUTURE GENERATIONS AS WELL.HENCE, I FEEL THAT MUSEUMS ARE IMPORTANT IN THE WORLD.

Without museums humans will lose a lot of precious culture and history which was cultivated over decades and centuries. Our heritage would be lost and we would be unable to recover our history.Museums also prevent restricting such historical knowledge from only being accessed by historians and the common public is allowed to access such knowledge too which would build a sense of patriotism in the and better serve their country.

Museums are important in the world because museums helps us relate to the past of the country. In the various exhibits in the museums, they often showcase certain historical artefacts such as clothings, weapons, jewelry or certain books. These artefacts helps represents the growth of the country, from what it was like in the past to what it has become. Thus, museums are very important in the world and should not be forgotten.

Museums allow us to experience past events as we walk through the halls. We get to see the artefacts in three dimensions. We are able to see tiny details that we are not able to see if it were a picture on a screen. We would also be able to learn about the artefacts and the past events from people who work there, who no doubt have in depth knowledge about the artefacts in the museum. Surfing the web to find out information about the artefacts may not always be reliable. Some information on the internet may be merely speculations from people working outside the museum. Hence, i think museums are important in the world.

Firstly , museums play an important role in the economics of a country . Travellers around the world often visit museums to learn and explore the cultures and history of a country. With many travellers paying to visit museums , museums definitely play an important role in the country's economy. For instance , the children museum contributed 5.5 billion dollars to the America's economic activity in 2016 . This would definitely help to improve the country and with more building of museums , the economic of a country would be sure to bloom. In conclusion , museums play a significant role in the economics of a country.

Side: Yessir

Ah, fresh perspective. this is very true, especially for countries which depend a lot on tourism for its economy. America is a weaker example but you can consider places like India which is considered to be very rich in heritage

Museums are a place for history lovers to enjoy. Compared to searching online, they can see the ancient artefact with their own eyes and read a more detailed explanations about the artefact. Moreover, there may be interactive activities for them to experience the activities in the past which enables them to foster a deeper understanding about the culture of the past

Side: Yessir

Mmhmm, for sure. Do you have an example to support this point? For e.g., which artefact do you think might be most interesting to view live?

I think museums are important to the society to provide education about historical events. The traditional role of museums is to collect objects and materials of cultural, religious and historical importance, preserve them, research into them and present them to the public for the purpose of education and enjoyment. Hence, I think a museum plays an important role in the community.

yes, museums are important as it ensures that our history is not forgotten and preserves it. It also serves as a place where a lot of general knowledge can be learnt For example the national museum of Singapore is the oldest museum in Singapore and its history dates back to 1849. Hence, Singaporeans go there often for history project. Therefore, i think museums are important.

Firstly, i think that museums are important to the world because they contain historical value. Museums have many artifacts that date back before the 21st century such as paintings, coins plates, etc. They serve a great purpose to allow us to remember the past. History is a subject that cannot be forgotten due to its great value, museums allow people to have a taste of what the past was like, as though stepping into a different time line. Going to a museum to see the real thing and seeing the artifact online has a different experience because of its profound atmosphere. Therefore, museums have a large significant to why they are important.

Side: Yessir

Museums are important to the world because they contain educational value. Schools often bring students there for learning journeys. If there are no museums for them to go on a purposeful learning journey, the students would not enjoy themselves inside the condusive environment in school. For example, Jurassic Park Museum teaches us about the history of dinosaurs and I used that example as an anecdote in my discursive essay and I passed with flying colours. Also, in Haw Par Villa in the ten courts of hell, I learnt that if I cheat in exams, my intestines and organs would be pulled out. Thus, I never dared to cheat in exams. Thus, I say that museums are important to the world because of their educational value.

Museums are critical for education of culture. If not, the cultures of the people in the

society would be empty and incomplete. Education, is important for development. One of the fundamental objectives of the museum is to educate, and it is only the museum that has the capacity and the ability to impart cultural education effectively as it houses the tools and materials for doing so in its collections. In modern society, the museums enrich the educational process by exposing children and the public to their history in a positive way; they assist our future generations to understand and appreciate their history and culture and take pride in the achievements of their fore-bearers.

Museums are very crucial in our world as it act as a source of inspiration to viewers. For example,as one goes and admire the artworks in an art museum, the artworks will provide personal connection to the viewer. This allows the viewer to be more imaginative, creative, and even think of ways to make the artwork even better. Thus, museums are critical in our world.

I believe museums still a lot of value in this day of age, given that they hold and display numerous artifacts of History, some to remind of success, others to remind us of past mistakes. For example, posters and newspapers about the Japanese occupation in Singapore during the early 1940s serves as a reminder for Singaporeans to be independent and to never take our security for granted. Apart from that, artifacts in the museum are most probably credible, as compared to information online that may be incorrect due to misinterpretation. Henceforth, Museums are still important in this world although it may not seem like it.

I think museums are important in the world. Museum exhibits inspire interest in an area of study, item, time period, or an idea. Museums engage and educate the visitors as they are able to learn in an informal setting. For example, a single visit to a museum can expose visitors to in-depth information on a subject. You can spend as much or as little time as you like exploring exhibits. The environment allows you to form your own unique experiences and take away information that interests you. Hence, I think museums are important in the world.

museums allow us to witness first-hand and learn about the past of various countries. for example , cultural artifacts and paintings allow us to expand our knowledge and understand how the past was like during older times. some artifacts even have deeper meanings behind them and by understanding them , we can also learn more about the world and become wiser. therefore , i think that museums are important as they allow us to expand our knowledge and views of the world , while also allowing us to learn more about the origins of various cultures

Yes, museums are important because they allow us to have a better learning experience. We are able to look at the object in person when we visit a museum, which is much more fascinating than simply looking at a flat image on the internet. This allows us to remember what we learnt better because it is more memorable and enjoyable. Hence, museums are important.

Firstly, museums educate people about the past. On top of enriching ourselves with books, museums allow visitors to better understand what it was like in the past. The three dimensional artifacts displayed in the museums enables one to have a closer look and have and interactive experience with them. Without knowledge of history, the past might occur again in the present as matters slowly fade away, then history will repeat itself. 'Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it. ' This a saying from George Santayana and I agree with it. Therefore, I feel that museums enlighten us about the old days.

Firstly, museums are important because it helps us to learn about the history of a place, animal or person. For example, dinosaurs, without the fossils, we would not even know that these animals ever existed, and without these fossils, we would not understand what happened in the past and our knowledge would be limited. So with these artifacts, we can broaden our knowledge and our understanding of the past. Therefore, I think that museums are important.

From Jiasheng:

museums allow the future generation to see what the current generation faced and they get to see how the world developed as time passes. in addition, museums secure a spot as a tourist site as many tourists decide to spend time in the tours which is not costly. museums also give a safer and better understanding of a part of history. If people search up online, there might be lots of fake news. If one has a question during a live tour, he or she can ask the tour guide but it may take a long time to respond to the question. By then, the person might even forget that they asked a question.

Yes, museums are places where mankind is able to interact with artefacts from the past, thus giving us insight on what life was like back then. For example, schools arrange occasional visit to museums around the country which help enrich students’ historic knowledge of the nation. As such, museums are important and should be greatly appreciated by mankind.

As the internet is a more convenient way to look for historical artifacts and information. instead of spending money to buy a ticket you can search it on the internet, its saves money and time. Furthermore, the internet provides more explanation and resources as some museums only focus on specific artifacts only. Thus, I do not think museums are important in the world. lastly, we should be staying home and not go out unnecessarily.

no, as nowadays many people find museums very boring and a waste of money and time. This is because to learn about the history of something now, people can search on google and see the artefacts online as well. If they wanted to know about only a certain piece of information in the museum, going to the museum would be a waste of time and of money. Moreover, many people get bored going to museums as they could learn about the same things from their houses. Hence i feel museums are not very important nowadays.
