Are people going overboard with this twilight movie?

Yes! A million times yes! So many people are like starting to confuse reality with that world in the book. Especially at my school. Like half of the people at my school are starting to wear twilight shirts and it is getting all irritating. If someone started acting like the people in South Park do I couldn't help but laugh because it is just like WOW!

Side: Hell Ya

It sounds like this movie is a pain in the neck ;)

I still don't get it... the movie isn't about Vampires, something sort of similar... but hey, as similar as Zombies.

Excuse me but this movie and book IS based on vampires.

Just not your normal fangs and anti-garlic ones.

Stephanie meyer opened up that sterotype and created a new, fresh generation of vampires with personalities. :D

no, she just created a new creature and decided to slap the "vampire" name onto it cause she knew it would attract all the emo and goth kids.

and it has succeeded.

Allow me to nerd out for a second...

I only saw a preview, but were they not calling werewolves lichs?

Anyone who's played Final Fantasy or Oblivion knows that lichs are undead sorcerers. And they're very dangerous.

Perhaps even more dangerous than werewolves...

No, they weren't calling werewolves "lichs"

They aren't even werewolves, they're descended from werewolves...

Well, they were calling them Lyc's, but as in Lycanthrope...

which means the same thing as werewolf, so we're both wrong. And the descendants of werewolves are still werewolves kind of like the descendants of humans are still humans.

And I actually ended up seeing the movie, it was pretty cool all in all.

well what do you expect from the writers :P I dont believe that they are THAT well informed of mythical info :P And personally, mistakes like that upsets me too (as a nerd)

Extremely so! Around 80% of every girl at my school has read or is reading a Twilight book and they all went to see the movie. OBSESSION MUCH! It is worse than Harry Potter !

Side: Hell Ya

Yeah, except that Harry Potter is a good book series...........

Twilight Twilight that's all i ever hear about. like its something important i know people love it and like to talk or write about it but its got to the point where i want to scream there are way more important stuff going on than what will happen with Bella & Edward. and after its over people will forget about it. i think they should stop freaking over Twilight. its just a movie.

Half the people watching that dumb movie are only caving in to peer pressure and curiosity. They probably haven't even read the book.

I agree. My heterosexual "girlfriend" wants me to go see it with her this weekend and I still have no idea what it is about even though people are still talking about it!

Side: Hell Ya

Don't do it. It'll be horrible. Instead, see Deathly Hallows part 2! =P

Side: Hell Ya

It's about teens coming of age. This guy puts this gilr up on a pedestal even though every fiber of his being screams out to him to do her (or at least look up her skirt) but he resists and she's like, "I trust you."

I played that game when I was young and I was like, "Do you trust me now?" I usually got slapped around the third round ;)

Anyway, that's how I discovered the erroneous zones. ;)

Well not so much "look up her skirt" more to love her without killing her...

It's a fabulous book and an okay movie. People are just really excited or really bumbed about it, that's all.

well i saw the movie my self and i thought it was pretty good movie. But i dont think its kind of a movie that'll make me scream of excitement everytime someone mentions it :P Any who i believe that teenagers (middleschool-highschool) are the the ones who mainly overexaggerates the movie. Like the movie 300, all the kids were saying "OMG THAT MOVIE WAS AWESOME!! YOU HAVE TO GO SEE IT ITS SOOO EPIC." (i was currently junior back then).

Anywho the only ones that are really excited about this movie is mainly teenage kids. I really havn't heard from any older generation exaggerating how they reccomend everyone to go see it :P

I dont have anything against the teenagers, i mean its understandable since this movie is targeted towards highschoolers

Side: Not Really...

NO! It's just a basic everyday love story exept with a vampire!

Um, no. Twilight is a poorly written overdramatic book with the most pretentious and annoying...(don't really want to say heroine because that might imply her doing something) Female lead that I have ever had the misfortune to read about who's married to a stalker and is best friends with a pedophile.
