Yeah. Language can't always be ignored, but without action or enforcement, it has no more power over you than you allow it to happen. If somebody offends you with differing views or course speech, you are giving them more power over you than such an offensive person should be allowed to have. Besides, virtually anything is potentially offensive to SOMEBODY. Take control of your own words, stop fretting about others. Side: Yes (grow some balls)

Whatever. You are just becoming more aware of it, because of how far the media has expanded. If the same issues that existed today were to exist during an earlier time period the people within that time period would feel the same way. That's why I have asserted, that They've always been this way.. You also may be slow on the uptake, like the majority of our civilization seems to be, therefore, obvious information materializes into your reality, as if you were experiencing an epiphany. Just say'n. Side: No (im offended by this)

I agree. Maybe the specific things people object to have changed (or maybe they haven't), but there have always been people who are easily offended and those who have been relatively laid back. Look at history; people have been getting butthurt about anything and everything imaginable for as long as we've recorded it. If there is a perception that people are more easily offended nowadays, I attribute it to the advancement of communications tech allowing a greater number of people to voice their grievances to a significantly larger audience.
