I would say they are. Much of the world has this impression of us, so it must be for a good reason. There is usually a lot of truth to stereotypes. A lot of Americans, like fishyperson, feel that America can do no wrong and that just makes us look even worse. They go around touting how great America is while totally ignoring the misery this country causes the around the globe, they make me ashamed to be American. Side: Yeah totally!

I would have to say that we are. Americans have really set the scale in the wrong direction ( if thats what you mean by puffed ). Americans are the fattest people on earth. For a good reason as well, Americans eat a ton of food and they do so on a regular basis! And we are without a doubt boastful. Not to many countries can claim richest country on earth, oh wait only 1 can do that =] Side: Yeah totally!

And, from my experience, if we don't eat a lot of food, we order a lot of food and then throw most of it out. My philosophy is that you can always get up and get more if you want it, so you don't need 8 lbs. of food on the plate and then eat some of the chicken and salad, and leave 7 lbs. on the plate. Side: Yeah totally!
