Are undocumented immigrants a race?

I have seen many people call Donald Trump a "racist".

According to the dictionary, racism can be defined as "any action, practice, or belief that reflects the racial worldview—the ideology that humans may be divided into separate and exclusive biological entities called “races”; that there is a causal link between inherited physical traits and traits of personality, intellect, morality, and other cultural and behavioral features; and that some races are innately superior to others." As I understand, Donald Trump has never stated that any race is superior to another. He has, however, shown disdain for undocumented immigrants. Do these qualify as a race?

If you are attempting to argue that Donald Trump is not a racist then that's quite a mountainous hill of lies to try to scale.

You are talking about a guy who was literally put under federal investigation for housing discrimination against blacks. There are thousands -- I say again, THOUSANDS -- of documents implicating him as a racist. That's not even counting anything he's ever said.

Well first when I spend time going to the protests I always find those on the left as the most racist. Kind hearted or not, they make the most assumptions on account of my brown skin and last name. Second since he announced his running not one person that has made that claim has been able to provide one piece of evidence instead they rely on "dog whistles" and "investigations". They sound like conspiratorial wing nuts one trigger away from pulling out tin foil hats.

Not you of course just people iin general.

Nay i have looked and asked for evidence and all i get are feelings and daydreams. If you have evidence that doesnt rely on mental gymnastics please tell.

He was not just put under investigation, a lawsuit was filed against him and his father.

And the Trumps literally responded with a 100 million countersuit accusing the government of deffamation. Something you would definitely not expect from a racist. Neither side won. Donald Trump denied any racial discrimination, but said his managers tried to weed out certain kinds of tenants. “What we didn’t do was rent to welfare cases, white or black," Trump wrote in a 1987 book. https://www.politico.com/blogs/under-the-radar/2017/02/trump-fbi-files-discrimination-case-235067

This claim has been debunked thousands of times.

Neither side won.

It wasn't a competition you moron. He was guilty but he used his power and influence to attack the federal government with his own allegations. That is what rich corrupt people do. In fact, Trump has used his own lawyers to attack anybody who has ever accused him of anything. See:-

Looking back, Mr. Trump’s response to the lawsuit can be seen as presaging his handling of subsequent challenges, in business and in politics. Rather than quietly trying to settle — as another New York developer had done a couple of years earlier — he turned the lawsuit into a protracted battle, complete with angry denials, character assassination, charges that the government was trying to force him to rent to “welfare recipients” and a $100 million countersuit accusing the Justice Department of defamation.

When it was over, Mr. Trump declared victory, emphasizing that the consent decree he ultimately signed did not include an admission of guilt.

But an investigation by The New York Times — drawing on decades-old files from the New York City Commission on Human Rights, internal Justice Department records, court documents and interviews with tenants, civil rights activists and prosecutors — uncovered a long history of racial bias at his family’s properties, in New York and beyond.

Which only further illustrates the point.

So somebody was lying. And you think that someone was the US government? Yes, that makes sense. Poor innocent Trump who did absolutely nothing wrong was harassed by the big bad federal government for no reason. Give me a break you idiot. We live in a world where rich people can afford good lawyers. The reality of course is that the government had ex-employees as eye witnesses who were prepared to testify that they were ordered to mark all housing applications from coloured people with a big capital C at the top.

Your revisionism is pathetic.

Then you'd better call the New York Times and let them know.

I would have to argue no. I can understand why it's tempting to classify them as such but they don't meet the common physical characteristics and genetic make up defined in race. A group of people having a common ground doesn't equate to being a race of people.

Some non-so-bright users have tried to derail this converstaion by bringing up the semantics of Judaism. Well, the term "Jew" has two possible definitions, which do not always overlap:

1. Religious Jew.

2. Bloodline Jew.

Bloodline Jews are a race. You can be a Russian and a Jew by birth, which just means you are biracial. Religious Jews are not considered to be a race, since you can convert to Judaism, but you cannot change your race by doing so. So there is no confusion here. Jews can be Russian, Korean e.t.c., but if you are discriminating against them on the basis of their Jewish race - you are being a racist. However, if you are preventing an illegal jewish migrant from crossing the border, because you are trying to uphold the rule of law - that's NOT racism. Illegal migrants are not considerd to be a race by any definition of the word.

Undocumented immigrants can include Russians, Chinese, North Koreans, Iranians, spies, terrorists, sex traffickers, drug traffickers, gang members, and criminals. They have no race.
