Hello, G. It depends on the woman, and the man. Obviously this is true. However, what I think matters more is what sort of strength we are talking about. Physical Strength Physically, men are generally stronger. The extreme difference in natural muscle mass is a result of the extra testosterone. That is why we have the prohibitions against men hitting women in Western society. We all saw the video of Ray Rice's fiancée hitting him repeatedly, but he was at fault when he finally hit her back because men are generally so much stronger physically than women. Physical Courage Generally, men are more willing to do physically dangerous things. Again, this is a result of the extra testosterone that increases the tendency toward aggression, ''rambunctiousness" and recklessness. Most dangerous occupations are dominated by men. This is not a function of women being shut out of these occupations, but of there being so few women (compared to men) who want to do them. That is why men account for over 90% of workplace fatalities. Social Strength In general, women are much higher in agreeableness than are men. This makes it much easier to create and maintain social relationships. By the same token, women are naturally (biologically) more oriented toward people, (whereas men are more oriented toward things.) This contributes to increased ability to successfully engage in socially challenging cooperative behaviors. It has also been correlated to longer life expectancy. Emotional Strength This is another weird one. The corpus colostrum (which connects the hemispheres of the brain) is narrower in men than in women, which better enables men to compartmentalize our thinking. This means that in general, men are better able to focus our attention on the problem at hand, and literally forget everything else, including grave personal problems. This also means men are better able to obsess on the emotional issues. Women have almost double the incidence of depression. In addition to this, women's hormone levels fluctuate to a greater degree than those of men, not just on a monthly basis, but over a lifetime, including pregnancy, post-partum depression, and menopause. However, the male suicide rates are between 3 and 5 times that of female rates (depending on location). Personally, I would count this as a win for women, but the depression rates make for a fair counter argument. Pregnancy I have heard women say, "If men had to give birth, the human race would die off because men could not handle crapping a watermelon." Shows like Jackass and Ridiculousness demonstrate that to be an underestimation of the pain men would endure. We can look at all the hard, dangerous, and painful things men do (often for no reason other than that they are hard, dangerous, and painful) and know that giving birth would be no different. Steve-O would dare Johnny Knoxville to have a kid by natural child birth, and we would be off and running. Pregnancy, however is a completely different story. Pregnancy is among the most physically damaging experiences available to people during the course of a normal life. It is obviously physically uncomfortable to have some little kid dancing on your bladder and kicking you in the lungs. Add to that all the crap you cannot do, (smoke, drink, get out of a soft couch during the last trimester, etc.) I think most men would say screw it. Side: Yes

Women are not meaner, they can be mean but they can also be much nicer and more compassionate. There is a reason you can trust more women than men when it comes to children, men are more likely to rape their butt hole or leave them in a dark alley full of heroin needles. Side: Yes

In general, men are physically stronger. It think the gap is closing a bit, but men are still on average, stronger than women. But it depends. These are just generalisations. If you picked ten men at random and ten women at random, and paired one to the other, I'm sure a few of the women would be stronger than their partners in the test. Side: No
