I am on two other online debate forums: Debate.org (which we call DDO), as well as theology.online.com I pretty much kick some serious ass on both of them. Can you guess what side I take on the Theology forum? LOL. I must say I am a bit disappointed with this site. Oh, it's fairly enjoyable but I would like to see more debates, as well as more challenges. I do about 5-6 formal debates a week on DDO, but in about five weeks here I have not been challenged once, and have only once had one of my several challenges accepted. And then THAT was a lame one by Saint Nowhere, who made one post and then high-tailed it back to bible school, or where he hangs out. LOL. If you actually "kick ass" on the other forums I suspect that speaks to the overall caliber of those forums rather than to your own. You have a tendency towards emotional appeal over reason and logic which rather undermines your actual credibility. There are good debates to be had on this forum. If you have not been thoroughly engaged in debates by some of the more competent members, perhaps it is because no one sees you as particularly worth the time and energy investment. Of course, maybe I am wrong and you are as brilliant and exceptional as your vanity proclaims you to extol. Usually, however, the need for such proclamations belies actual inadequacy. Oh my, don't we talk pretty! LOL. It has been my experience that those who engage in verbosity and flowery speech in online forums are trying to impress. Either that or compensate for their true lack of knowledge on the given subject they are commenting on. And so I think you have just confirmed that theory of mine. You have zero idea as to my education and past experience in debate and rhetoric, as well as written peer-reviews articles I have authored or co-authored since undergrad school. So I will take you observation of my skills and my intentions for what they are worth. But thanks for the news on the debates here on CD. I am going to by looking for some a little more proactively from now on. 1

Used to be a debater on Debate.org, since all I see was gaming gaming gaming and useless questions that will never get too famous for the amounts of useless questions they supply, so that's why I moved here! Also in real life, I am the best person to lose to on debates since I keep tossing them facts and jokes to their face. Like the vanilla and chocolate post I made a couple minutes ago before this post. And yet here I am here, being part of teenagers and a few fake-age people and a only adult as a debate website. Actually, I only hit you with a sock full of pennies but now it's pillows since that was the mistake I did back then. And yes, DDO does suck. It would repeat some debates too many times and the character limits and only yes or no questions on their debates. (p.s; sorry what I did back then.) |
