I'm a right-leaning centrist but when I say 'centrist' most political fanatics force me to pick so I pick slightly less state control and a little more inequality to add some spice to the scene.

This is about where I stand as well, although we still disagree on some key things!

I believe in Free Markets and the right to pursue your own happiness.

I have some sympathy for the Anarcho-Socialists on situations of ownership of land and natural resources, but in general I do believe in private property.

Those born into poverty have no means of escape in a right-wing community so if your motive is other's happiness, you should be left-wing. This is the selfish wing, not the caring one.

Those born into poverty have no means of escape in a right-wing community

They have no means of escape in a Statist community where the State serves the interests of those who can influence the power structure. In a Free Market, all businesses rely heavily on pleasing the consumers and pulling in labor. What mostly prevents the poor from creating or having jobs is the State's heavy regulation and prohibitions. If you legalize marijuana but regulate and tax it, only the corporations will benefit. If you legalize marijuana and do not involve the state in its regulation, the poor can easily grow their own and provide for a profit. The state makes growing your own food illegal. The state makes providing food for the homeless illegal unless heavily regulated, which is expensive.

the state is the enemy of the poor. Not entrepreneurs. We are all entrepreneurs in pursuit of our own interests. Privately we donate to charity and the only thing that destroys private contributions is the State and it's monopoly on power and taxation.

I dispute this because I've done it myself. See my dispute to your other post below.

While people with less money should be looked after by the state wealth should not be evenly distributed.

If you are a doctor and have worked hard for that position why should you get payed as much as a toilet cleaner who hasn't?

How do you know what struggle and length of hard work that toilet cleaner went through to survive the ghetto?

Just saying, first research the background, then judge the work.

What about those who start out in the ghetto and manage to pull themselves to something higher?

When I was born, my parents were living out of a storage unit and my dads company issued work van- their only vehicle at the time.

We went on to a housing project from there, and gradually worked ourselves out of it. I worked my own way through college as well- community college at first, then certifications in my field, and currently working towards by Bachelors (finally).

I understand that there is a lot of cultural pressure at work as well, but bottom line- why should someone who does not put in the effort to better themselves and their position in life enjoy the same rewards as someone who does?

Have you ever cleaned every bathroom in an office building?

Come back telling me that wasn't hard work.

Side: Left wing

It is hard work, but it is not difficult work. Proper procedures for cleaning a bathroom can be taught inside of 5 minutes.

Jobs involving manual labor are valued less than those involving technical skill simply due to supply and demand. Anyone can do manual labor- some may struggle at first, but the very act of doing it makes it easier.

I'm a centrist by US standards, but that makes me right-wing by international standards.

I feel more comfortable saying "right wing" than Republican, simply because I'm not an extremist. Each party has their pros and cons, I agree and disagree with both. But I'm definitely more conservative, socially and economically.

Side: Right wing

I don't think the left-wing/right-wing dichotomy makes much sense, but I'm more left-wing on average.

Side: Left wing

Same here, I may not agree 100% with left wing principles, but i fit in that category for the most part

Side: Left wing

I am on the brilliant side. The Left Wing offers great ideas.
