Aren't blue lives matter & want my gun come and take it contradictory positions?
Hello T:
Nahh..
Look.. Fact is, as long as cops defended white people over black people, they we're OK with right wingers.
But, as can be seen in the January 6th insurrection videos, when the cops were defending democracy, right wingers hated 'em just as much left wingers do..
Someone on here said about a week ago: "I hope [Chauvin] doesn't get convicted for just doing his job!" The cops at the Capitol were "doing their jobs", Five of them have died, over a hundred injured by those who tout and carry "Blue Lives Matter" flags! Sometimes, especially on the right, it's hard to tell your friends from your enemies!
Blue lives matter is the concept of not demonizing, or attacking your police force. Giving them due process when things go wrong, punishing those that are proven to be in error, and making sure that they have the required resources to do their jobs.

On the 2nd amendment issue, this has nothing to do with the police. The people, have the right to defend themselves from their government, especially when they become far too heavy handed.
A significant percentage of police are pro-2A. If there were some kind of gun-grab executive order, many cops would not enforce it. It would be federal jurisdiction anyway, meaning a new kind of sanctuary city/county would emerge. Then the "come and take them" lot would be even stronger blue line supporters.
And a significant number are pro-legalisation of marijuana. That doesn't mean they won't enforce the laws they have sworn an oath to enforce you lamentably stupid big mouth.
Aren't blue lives matter & want my gun come and take it contradictory positions?
I've been watching a lot of YT recently, so I've probably seen over 40 or so examples of what happens when, "You want my gun come and take it." The cops come and take it. Usually they pry it from your cold, dead hands.

Most such oaths are first and foremost to the Constitution of the US and of the State in which the officer is certified. The President can issue executive orders all he wants, but we aren't a monarchy.

ππ€¦ββοΈ So if the 2nd amendment is taken out of the constitution and state laws reflect that change then police officers are sworn to uphold the law, yes?
You stupid, insane little weasel. As per usual you are on the wrong Wikipedia page. This:-
I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.[1]
So if the 2nd amendment is taken out of the constitution and state laws reflect that change then police officers are sworn to uphold the law, yes?
I'll go ahead and quote my original statement since comprehension seems to be a problem for you. "If there were some kind of gun-grab executive order, many cops would not enforce it". An executive order doesn't change the Constitution. The President can't remove the 2nd Amendment.
You stupid, insane little weasel. As per usual you are on the wrong Wikipedia page. This...Is the oath taken by the United States armed forces, not the police. Stop talking you fucking retard
I wish I knew your specific mental affliction so that I could know exactly what kind of wrong response you will give. Again, I said "Most such oaths are first and foremost to the Constitution of the US and of the State in which the officer is certified"
Why would you respond with a federal oath? It obviously wouldn't include the state of residence.
Just for you I googled a few random state's police oaths. Every single one I Google demonstrated allegiance to the Constitution of the US and of the relevant State. I'll include quotes in a supporting post. In the meantime, consider giving up on absolutely everything. You aren't good at it.
Doing anything other than going to school is a waste of your time and my time. You are quite frankly one of the most stupid individuals presently alive on Earth, and have so far -- in less than half an hour -- confused the police oath with both the military service oath and the oath taken by university faculty members.
You are literally dumber than a bag of rocks. π
No, I was the one who did that you utterly pointless, lying Jew. You claimed that police officers would not uphold or enforce the law if the law banned guns. I referenced the fact that all police officers swear an oath to uphold the law.
Your black is white bullshit is just fucking ridiculous Amarel. Shut your fucking mouth for once in your waste of a life. You are a sociopath who has no grounding in factual reality.
You referenced the fact that they swear an oath to uphold the law. This was in response to me saying they would not uphold a gun-grab executive order. Then I pointed out that most swear their oath to the Constitution (federal and state) first. Then you went on about military oaths like a moron.
Rather than me doing a recap for you, how about you just scroll up and see for yourself how stupid you are.
Oh, you STUPID, STUPID idiot. I did not say that the President can remove the second amendment. Your straw man argumentation is absurd. It is a waste of everybody's time.
The second amendment is an AMENDMENT. That means someone amended the constitution and can do so again. Funny how that makes sense when you aren't a fucking idiot.
Police officers are certified...By their State. Soldiers aren't fucking certified genius.
You are just simply mentally ill. We were having a conversation about oaths, not certification. Why don't you understand English? What is actually wrong with you?
I'll quote myself again here: "Most such oaths are first and foremost to the Constitution of the US and of the State in which the officer is certified"
I'll quote myself again here: "Most such oaths are first and foremost to the Constitution of the US and of the State in which the officer is certified"
Is there any reason why you have added emphasis not present in the original text around the word "certified", instead of around "oaths"? I mean, given that you have been talking about oaths for the past hour -- not certifications -- I am wondering again what is actually wrong with you?
"I do solemnly affirm that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the position of according to the best of my ability and perform my duties in a manner consistent with the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State ofΒ New York."
"I do solemnly swear that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the United States of America and the State of Connecticut, and will support the constitution and the laws thereof, so help me God."
"I (state your name), do solemnly swear (or affirm), that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution and laws of the State of Arizona, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, and defend them against enemies, foreign and domestic, and that I will faithfully and impartially ..."
"I, , do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution and the laws of the United States, the Constitution and the laws of the State of South Dakota, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of ..."
It's the Civil Service oath smart one. Cops take it too. Keep going.
Ahahahaha!!! ππ€¦ββοΈ
In the United States, the federal civil service was established in 1871. The Federal Civil Service is defined as "all appointive positions in the executive, judicial, and legislative branches of the Government of the United States, except positions in the uniformed services."
Jesus Christ I'm not talking about the federal government you dumb shit. All civil service employees take that oath in New York. Google Police oath in New York and you'll get that oath. SMfuckinH
Jesus Christ I'm not talking about the federal government you dumb shit.
1) Not being able to read your mind doesn't make me a dumb shit, you dumb shit.
2) You literally just claimed the oath is part of the civil service. The civil service is part of the federal government.
I truly don't understand how you can be so utterly devoid of anything even vaguely resembling intelligence, while at the same time apparently believe the problem lies with anybody who points it out.
1) You don't need to read my mind to know that cops are mostly not federal employees.
2) Civil Service is any government employment; federal, state, or local. We are talking about cops, which are local and certified by the State.
Your confusion on this topic likely stems from your lack of familiarity with American government structure. That's forgiveable, but your arrogant ignorance is not.
