Atheists: Have you ever read a logically sound definition of god?

Yes

If you remove all the bells and whistles, the definition of God becomes logical.

What would this bell-less whistle-free definition entail?

Side: Yes

A being that is able to "spark" nature into action. It doesn't have limitless power. It doesn't have to be morally good. It doesn't have to be everywhere. It doesn't have to affect everything.

Something like that.

As Cartman said, remove the bells and whistles.

I am a non believer but I do know for a fact that we exsist so however, whatever, whoever sparked creation into exsistance is God in the sense of the word.

A Thumpers definition of God is illogical in every way if you look at whats going on around us, history and scientific advancement.

Challenge one of these:

1. Collective consciousness

2. A label we sometimes give to the interplay of ideas that forge a person or a group's ruling logic

3. The greatest conceivable good described through anthropomorphic metaphor

Are these three possibilities the god of the Christian bible or just a god in a general sense?

omG !!! .. just some definitions already ... http://dadmansabode.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=751#p751 ... thank you :)

A definition of god that is a self-projection of the individual giving the definition would be sound in the sense that it is a true reflection of the definer.

YES.. I have read the bible, torah and Quran... And I believe Islam and Quran are the word of god... And the Quran confirms a lot of facts from the Bible and the Torah...

Side: Yes

Surely I have read a logically sound definition for god... I mean first I am curious as to what you mean by a "logically sounds definition"? You mean a definition that makes logical sense? yes. "A supreme being" isn't self contradicting... an omnipotent one maybe...

first I am curious as to what you mean by a "logically sounds definition"?

A definition built on other well defined terms.

"A supreme being" isn't self contradicting

So you think it's reasonable to assume there is a supreme being?

So this question is just an atheist circlejerk, right?

OP's question defines the free-thinker community.

Due to the lack of a logical explanation for how his magic works, God can only be defined in an irrational way.

No one will ever read a logically sound definition of a God, simply because the logic is beyond our comprehension.
