How is god "nice" or "loving"? I have never noticed those qualities either in religious texts or in real life. If you look at real life, god is a nonexistent barbarian who lets children be raped or starve to death, and if you look in the Bible or other holy books, most gods are quite fine with warfare or genocide or simply flooding/burning/smiting/salting people to death. God is disgusting and cruel, however, we are lucky no such thing actually exists in reality. Side: No god.

Well.... God is more than nice. God is Love. Read the Bible and you'll find out, He loves the ones that follow Him. He even loves you, even though you've sinned much, like all of us. The people he burned and flooded, were so wicked that they had to removed. They didn't want to follow Him. Side: No there's not.

Yeaaah, Lynaldea, I know you think religion is true, either because there are so many or because you feel it or whatever your reasons are, but if you are going to say I am wrong for sure, it would be nice if you could prove it. My only position at it's core is "There are likely no gods". That is proven by the fact that gods do not show up in this universe. There is belief, but there is also mental illness and war and other crazy things humans do. I don't know why you think there is a god, but the reasons you have given me all appear less logical and less sensible and absolutely unproven than any atheist argument. Your beliefs are popular... but very stupid and very untruthful sounding. I am not misled, I am literally lied to. That is what religion is. Lies. That's why the Vatican was recently discovered laundering money. That's why those other Christians deny evolution. Why Muslims think they need to spread their religion by saying nothing proves it wrong or contradicts it. Why Hindus can mistreat people who are born into different castes simply for the excuse that they were reincarnated as a lower class. All these religions are very human. Even the older pantheons had very human gods. Religion is clearly made up, which is fine, so are good fictional books, the difference is that religion is foul and horrible and forced onto people who may not have wanted it in their life, and in certain religions, such as Islam, if they try to leave it, they are commanded to be murdered, or in Christianity, they are simply told they will suffer for ever. It is foul, and the fact you support it, even if true, is foul. They are lies and you are lying to me. Side: No god.
