The U.K, economy is intrinsically linked with the rest of Europe. The patriotic romantics who are championing the ''leave campaign'' are a bunch of dangerous nationalistic throwbacks to the time of the British Empire which has long ceased to exist. If by a ''fluke'' the U.K. voted to leave the E.U. the British economy would go into meltdown and the ''Brexit Don Quixote's'' would start the usual politician's rhetoric, ''yes but, no but, you see the thing is, what you must understand is....... then they'd go into well paid obscurity while the gullible public who believed their naive public schoolboy philosophy would spend the rest of their self inflicted poverty stricken lives in deep regret for permitting themselves be taken in. Socialism does not work! We see it in economies and we see it in the European Union. What has happened in America since we started moving in the Progressive socialistic direction. If you follow the news, you would know that our welfare roles keep growing. There are also many more people dropping out of middle class to lower income class. When a nation moves towards a welfare mentality whereby Government redistributes more and more of the hard working self supporting people's income, what happens? People start asking why am I killing myself while Government takes my money to give to people who refuse to work and are getting medicaid and everything for free. This same mindset goes into Euro nations who believe they can spend money they do not have to give to their people through many social programs, and in the back of their minds know that Germany or the UK or other nations will bail them out by redistributing money from EU banks, etc. Taking money from one group to give to other groups will never work because it always ends in growing wefare systems that go bankrupt. The UK and other responsible nations are sick of bailing out the irresponsible nations. Side: UK should leave

I think that the EU needs Britain, more than Britain needs the EU. The economic stability of the other countries currently is probably hurting Britain more than it is helping it. It would make more sense to kick out the unstable countries until they got their acts together. Rather than having strong countries leaving. I think rather than a Brexit, the EU should kick out the countries clearly bringing it down without contributing. Furthermore, until things get really bad for the countries in the EU, they won't get their act together. Side: UK should leave

Communes do not work! What have we learned from watching life? What lessons are learned in families when the parents make the hard working child do all the chores while the lazy children get away with doing nothing. The hard working child learns that it is not fair and will soon start doing as little as possible. The lazy children learn they can get something for nothing and will never be thankful or appreciative, nor will they start working harder to help out if not forced to. It's the same in life where ever this socialistic mindset is allowed to exist. We see it in our growing welfare roles. People living off social programs never appreciate the free medicaid they receive when not working. NO, what they do is make sure they do not make enough money to lose that free medicaid. They refuse jobs when the job will actually make them lose free stuff. The same with unemployment benefits. Many people refuse to get a job until the benefits run out. This is human nature for the majority of people. Every nation should prosper or fall on it's own accord. The EU is just one more sick form of socialism whereby irresponsibility is bailed out by the responsible. There is only one thing that people take notice of. HARDSHIP & CONSEQUENCES for the irresponsible choices made. Otherwise, they will never learn or change or grow! Each individual State in America should prosper or fall on it's own accord. Americans from responsible States should never be forced to bail out big spending Liberal states or cities when they default. It's sets a terrible precident! The same when it comes to bailing out irresponsible parents and children taking out huge college loans they will never pay back. Or bailing out irrespnsible people buying homes they can't afford. They must learn from the pain to not take out loans you can't pay back. Being accountable for the consequences of our actions is the ONLY answer to stop the irresponsibility of nations, states, cities, families, borrowers, etc. Side: UK should leave

Don't send me another message asking me to post on your debate. I addressed your debate with accurate facts of what is happening to our nations when we implement sociaistic policies, and you insult me. IDIOT! It's sad that facts are so boring and depressive to you. A thinking person would grow and learn rather than holding steadfast to a failed Liberal ideology. Side: UK should stay

I think each country should do whats in its people's best interests are, period. I don't see how an unelected ruling group in Brussels can effectively represent each country. There are many reasons, but why should the productive (Britain, Germany) bear the burden of the non-productive (Greece); it's like carrying dead weight. Side: UK should leave

It is true that UK had easier trade as a part of the EU but there are quiet a few valid reasons for U.K. To leave- U.K. charges billions of pounds a year in membership fees. There is too much red tape. The government is not completely free to take decisions . Immigration freedom is affecting U.K. badly. If it leaves EU then it is possible that it would reinvent itself as a super charged economy -like Singapore. This was my opinion why U.K. should have stayed in the EU. Side: UK should leave
