True, but neither do most people. Unity is dead. You have to have a united ideology, which used to be Judaeo Christianity. Otherwise you have 350 million people who cannot agree on anything including the idea that we don't physically attack, slander, race bait etc. We don't agree anymore on the basics, much less the more complex issues. This country will fall. The question isn't if, but when.

I want to affirm your position, but no one has, absolutely. Both Democrats and Reppublicans are racist. Republicans were hateful tods Arabs after 9/11, to Chinese even now, to Mexicans, even now. Democrats are racist again Russians, white people, and Jewish. Stop playing, the bandwagon Fallacy.

Martin Luther King was a truly amazing visionary and outstanding human being who tried to achieve his goal of racial equality peacefully and with the traditions of all ethnic groups being universally accepted enthusiastically by the entire nation.

Unfortunately however, as he was seen by some as an Uncle Tom type character and by others as a Trojan Horse transporter, we are, despite the introduction of a catalogue of anti racist and religious discrimination laws, no closer to realizing his majestic objectives than we ever were.

The sad and very harsh reality is that his wonderful dream is beyond the realms of possibility.

For such a dream to come to fruition everyone must work together, and that ain't ever going to happen.

Making magnificent moralistic speeches is not going to change the minds of those opposed to full racial integration.

Blacks continue to voice their desire to form separate states and whites take flight when blacks form what they consider to be too great a percentage of the population of their town, city or district.

THAT IS THE REALITY.

WHAT IS THE SENSE IN US ALL SINGING HAPPY-CLAPPY SONGS OF RACIAL HARMONY WITH SMILING FACES ON SUNDAY AND THEN GOING OUT ON MONDAY, KNOCKING SEVEN BELLS OUT OF EACH OTHER, DESTROYING PROPERTY AND MURDERING PEOPLE FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN?

That last paragraph is the reality, so don't shoot the messenger.

Hello P:

I see where this is going.. I asked you the other day what your solution to the black problem as you see it, is.. You didn't answer.. But, it's coming through..

You say the blacks want to form their own states... So, if white people INSIST and/or FORCE black people to MOVE, white people can say, it'll be their own doing..

So, let's call a spade a spade.. Black people will be OFFERED the right to move voluntarily, or they'll be forced to move..

Do I have it right? You'd LIKE living in white heaven, wouldn't you?? Of course, you would..

Well, let's call a spade a shovel.

Firstly I didn't see where you asked me what was my solution to the black problem. If I had I would have given you an answer, as far as it is possible to give an all encompassing solution to such a deep seated and complex issue.

Secondly, my post here is not intended to be going anywhere and I don't have any predetermined outcome in mind.

Thirdly, the simple truth is that there is an enormous, ALMOST insurmountable problem, and before this particular real life horror movie scenario can be solved all those involved in the Nation destroying, brother-vs-brother dilemma must firstly admit that the problem exists and recognize the necessity to set about finding a just and lasting solution.

When men/women of good faith set out to NEGOTIATE a resolution to a problem, even one as colossal as our ongoing racial unrest, one can be found.

Such negotiations would have no pre-conditions, no red-lines with everything on the table for open and transparent discussion.

Your post of prejudging the motives of any proposed discussions graphically illustrates the monumental hurdles of prejudgement and distrust, on both sides, to be overcome before any NEGOTIATIONS could even begin.

But, if we are to survive as a nation;-BEGIN THEY MUST.

The Big Melting Pot by Blue Mink was/is a beautiful song, but that's all it ever was and ever will be.

The time for dreaming is over and the time to embark on a series of practical, hard headed discussions with attainable goals has arrived.

Does any here-today-gone-tomorrow self serving politician have the balls to even suggest such a rational course of action?

Rhetorical question of course, as we all know a politician with the necessary political courage and moral fibre to commence on such a politically perilous journey doesn't exist.

EASIER JUST TO CONTINUE TO SPOUT THE USUAL MEANINGLESS, LET'S ALL LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER WITH EACH OTHER FOR EVER AND EVER AND PRETEND WHAT IS HAPPENING UNDER OUR NOSES IS AN ILLUSION.
