It's not about being too controversial at all it's about Bronto posting up debate topics constantly pushing his political opinions. Everyone is aware of his political views do we have to suffer several debates daily on CD that support these views ? A lot of good debaters have stopped participating on C D as most are bored rigid with the daily dose of political propaganda from Bronto . Side: vote bronto leave the site

That's an interesting list of people there. Even if we ignore the fact that you listed yourself multiple times it seriously proves you wrong. You are trying to prove that the same old debates are here. Excon has only been here 146 days, bellasmella has only been here 93 days, negligentt had only been here 114 days, xljackson had only been here 99 days, and winstonc had only been here 68 days. Jolie used to spend a massive amount of time on here. He hasn't posted more than 24 arguments in the last 19 days, and he hasn't posted more than 24 debates in 76 days. Atypican hasn't posted more than 24 arguments in 55 days. And finally, your negligentt account was created in response to the user negligent who hasn't posted in 71 days. This is a debate site for all who'd want to voice out their opinion, I see no reason why people would be wanting him to get off this site. Irrespective of his opinions and his debating skills, it is clear that he has an enormous passion for debating, it's stupid that people actually hate him because he's passionate. The irony, Bronto, is the one and only thing which should be controversial enough to kick someone off a debate website should be if they are interfering with the process of debate. That's the cardinal sin if you indeed value debate and free speech. So it would make more sense to kick off a frequent banner than it does to kick off someone who makes lots of arguments. And I'm not asking to kick off the banners. I've defended their rights to free speech and to play by this site's rules. I will always criticize them for the cowardly act of banning, but it is allowed on this site. Side: Vote bronto no leave the site

I am confused by the concept of "too controversial" for a debate site. The reason I am on this site is specifically so I can interact with people who hold different views than mine. I cannot imagine that anyone expects everyone to agree with everything posted on the site. Our nation NEEDS EVERYBODY to be able to express freely and non-violently ANY idea, regardless of whether people dislike it, feel offended by it, or are afraid of it. Talking and writing our disagreements is how we test the substance of our own views and those of others in a marketplace of ideas. Screaming (or typing in all capital letters) is how we react to unorthodox or heretical views without burning people at the stake. Having said that, I hope that people do not squander freedom of expression by spewing hatred or saying things specifically to hurt people's feelings. Side: Vote bronto no leave the site
