It would be better, if we didn't have to use the computers and internet everyday. It's obvious that it affects our health and especially eyes, whereas books can be a serious replacement, because books don't produce ultraviolet rays and etc. Unfortunately, we can't put aside our computers, because we always need to use them for writing, reading, doing homework and everything else. I, a student, see the computer as a treasure. I communicate and keep in touch with my friends and do lots of things using it. However, I feel so bad that sitting in front of the computer's screen takes more than half of my day. I found out that 9 - 15 million people in the United States use the internet every day on www.techaddiction.ca. Every three months the rate of use increases by 25%. This kind of addiction is rising in Kazakhstan too. That's why we should try to use computers less and pass on to reading books. Side: BOOKS

But do u know if the books are are correct either and if so how do you know. But if it is because of the person who wrote it ,well you don't know if they are telling lies because they are human and humans lie tell lies. On the other hand computers will give you bad eyesight but that is why you can zoom in,but when reading books it will just hurt your eye and give you a headache.I strongly disagree because you can study on the computer that is why sites are there to help you and it is sometimes fun so in revising u have fun and still study and that is what young people like , but with books there is a lot more pressure and if not determine you will drop to sleep. In my honest opinion I think that books are better than computers. There are many reasons behind it but ill only name a few. Computers increase the rate of physical health problems such as muscle pain, eye sight, back and neck problems and terrible posture. Computers may have a lot of information but, most of the time that information is wrong or it takes a long time to find a good website with the information you want. It increases the possibility of neck and back problems because, kids or adults don't sit properly on there chairs. As we all know computers increase the possibility of eye damage because, they send of a stupid kind of ray that damages the eye really bad and can to getting glases or more. Computers can givce you a bad posture because who sits up straight while looking at a computer.. nobody exactly. Therefore I think books are better than computers and I strongly think that students should use books more than computers Side: BOOKS

Computer is a new technology which is really important nowadays. The whole idea about it being new makes it better. And you can read books on the computer. But i trully think that computer and books are incomperable because they serve different purpose. Computer is a tool while book is a source of knowledge. We are using computer to surf through web and find books, articles and many other things. Side: COMPUTERS

I do love books; there's no denying they're a great resource on a great many things. But computers beat them all to hell. Nothing beats being a keystroke or a mouse click away from whatever information you need. I never go the library....except to use a computer! ;) Side: COMPUTERS
Honestly, for this topic I am most to the Neutral side. Because Book and Computer really was made for different porpuses. Books more comfartable to use and study, but Computers usefull to find any information (especially through ineternet) and type documents. Also, I am University student and I spend the same time with Books and in front of the computer. For intance in my Academic Reading and Writing class I have to read articiles from books or magazines and then type them on the computer. So Computers and Books are essiential and will be essential to us forever Side: COMPUTERS
By reading books we improve and enhance our knowledge of course!!!!but we were in a need to rely upon books when we were in the past.....now we are in 2013......an era of computers, even where each and every field of science directly or indirectly need computers.....they have made our works so easy...by saving our precious time....for instance,if we need to learn any language, there are so many online courses,to sell our things we have many websites, even to collect our garbage and dust we have a website....what else...we need...? I don't have any other way except to feel sorry for those who crack some idiotic jokes about computer.According to me,they are vision less, they do not have any exposure of the world....bookish worms...I don't read books.....but my language is good when you look at my sentences......Books are not the only source to gain knowledge..... Side: COMPUTERS
Once again, people on the opposite side have proved that they are fools.. TOO MUCH OF ANYTHING IS GOOD FOR NOTHING I agree that when we operate computers for a long time, they are not good for our eyes But when we read books, even without sleeping, does it mean that it makes our eyes so healthy..? now,a days computers have taken the place of books and no more books are there to be read just to be sold.i prefer computer because its a thing that came in my mind that if we buy a computer once in a big price so the book we need just we will type its name and the book will be there with hundreds of links on Google select one and get the books no matter of how many pages its of.if its of hundred pages there hundreds of them will appear. Side: COMPUTERS
Nowadays techonolgy is developing and people use computer more than books. In companies all documents are written on computer, there is no any documents which are just in written form. Also you can find something in one clik. You can can do everything you want in computer. For instance to read books, to watch videos, to make some programs etc. It is more comfortable and easier to download book from internet than buy it for a big price. Of course for students it is the great thing to have computer especially internet! Side: COMPUTERS

Computers are better than books because computers hold more information and it could be used for entertainment etc. but it could also have books downloaded on to the computer and plus books will get boring for kids to read and if kids don't want to read then they could have the computers read to them this is my argument on why computers are better than books. I just had this discussion with my fried, he is truly one of the most intelligent people I know, he is an avid reader, with a collection of many classic and rare books. His feeling is people are getting dumber due to the computer, that people are using fewer words in there vocabulary than in the past, and people are reading less.... So a book is a much better source of quality information than the computer... My take on it is, I believe due to the invention of digital texting, whether it be by phone or computer, there are more people today reading and writing, Yes we have the luxury of spell check, but as we still have the luxury of the calculator, the world still turns... I believe the advantages of the computer out weigh the disadvantages. A book certainly has its place, but to say technology is making us dumber, to me, is not quite accurate... My friend and I,s conversation was a little more lengthy, but , I believe you get the point.... I,m interested in getting some feed back... Thanks.... Side: COMPUTERS
i wish everyone had a computer because they can inertain you they can put thoughts in your head and when you have books maybe you don't know a word or two computers can spell it and say it but books cant just pop out of a book and say "this word is responsible".so I think computers are the best ever not books.
