CRAMMING WORKS IN LONG RUN.....

I THINK
Cramming is the process of putting a specific amount of information in your short term memory. If you manage some how to pass your test, it is unlikely you will remember the information the next day assuming you still remember it after the test. It doesn't help you at all if your teacher asks you a question you didn't study for.
Understanding puts the information in your long term memory where you can potentially find other uses for it the rest of your life. You will be able to use that information at times to solve problems that would now seem to be completely unrelated to what you are currently learning.
So, cramming might get you an "A" today, understanding will get you an "A" in life.

I don't believe in short term learning.

I think all students have to cram for a test or an exam. Cramming will make the subject matter more fresh in your mind.

Eh. So you're saying that people shouldn't cram for test, because it doesn't give them enough time to actually comprehend the subject? So they should just study in-depth on only fragments of the test and risk failing most of it?

<.<

They can always read over the material again afterwards.

It does work in the long run if you didn't have enough time to study, because having good grades definitley helps in the long run. Doesn't help in the longer run if your plan is to cram, even when you had enough time too thoroughly study the subject.
