CRAMMING WORKS IN LONG RUN.....
Understanding puts the information in your long term memory where you can potentially find other uses for it the rest of your life. You will be able to use that information at times to solve problems that would now seem to be completely unrelated to what you are currently learning.
So, cramming might get you an "A" today, understanding will get you an "A" in life.

Eh. So you're saying that people shouldn't cram for test, because it doesn't give them enough time to actually comprehend the subject? So they should just study in-depth on only fragments of the test and risk failing most of it? <.< They can always read over the material again afterwards. It does work in the long run if you didn't have enough time to study, because having good grades definitley helps in the long run. Doesn't help in the longer run if your plan is to cram, even when you had enough time too thoroughly study the subject. Side: YES/FOR
