California Secession Movement comes from Russia

The very man who is spearheading the movement for California to secede from the United States lives in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Louis J. Marinelli, 30 who supervises Yes California which is attempting to collect the 585,000 signatures required to place a secessionist question on the 2018 ballot not only lives in Russia but appears roughly once a week on Russian state media. Yes California organization’s website states:

In our view, the United States of America represents so many things that conflict with Californian values, and our continued statehood means California will continue subsidizing the other states to our own detriment, and to the detriment of our children. Although charity is part of our culture, when you consider that California’s infrastructure is falling apart, our public schools are ranked among the worst in the entire country, we have the highest number of homeless persons living without shelter and other basic necessities, poverty rates remain high, income inequality continues to expand, and we must often borrow money from the future to provide services for today, now is not the time for charity.

Why is California in such a state of falling apart when it is run by Progressives ?

I find it funny that Yes California admits that it's in the toilet but at the same time it's seemingly blaming the rest of the nation for its breakdown. It reminds me of Clinton and the DNC. They cannot ever look at themselves in the mirror to identify who's responsible for their demise.

The break up of the United States of America must never be allowed to commence.

Successive administrations have permitted the unregulated influx of illegal immigrants whose numbers now represent a real threat to the continuing inclusion of California within the Union.

This threat must be addressed and extinguished before more sinister elements can exploit those resentful illegals who feel disenfranchised and are manipulated into becoming dangerous anti-American insurgents.

I could care less if California decides to leave. Same way with any other state. First of all, California will not leave, cause if they do, it would be very unlikely they would be able to return to the US after Mr. Trump leaves office.

Second, California would lose all it's much needed federal funding from the US and then it would have to negotiate it's own trade deals, in which it's not part of NAFTA alone so trade for the state would suffer.

Finally, they don't have the balls to do it.

California will not be allowed to leave. It would be a national security risk for California to become a separate nation with Communist leadership. It's not going to happen, it's just an attention grabbing joke of the Kamikazee Democrats and main stream media.

Florida would be happy. They would be the biggest exporter in fruit if Cali left.

Last I knew Alaska and Texas wanted to secede from the U.S.. Both conservative states and the one leading that charge in Alaska was Sarah Palin's husband! (And HE can see Russia from his porch!)

Support for California secession is up says the LA Times !

Californians' support for a breakaway California republic has increased, one poll has found.

One-third of state residents support peacefully seceding from the United States, up from 20% since Californians were last asked the same question in 2014, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll. The poll's margin of error for the California answers was plus or minus 5 percentage points.

Still, half of Californians opposed the idea of succession, though Democrats were more inclined to support it than Republicans. The survey found that 60% of Republicans gave the idea of peacefully seceding a thumbs down compared with 48% of Democrats and 50% of independents.

Nationally, 22% of those polled supported having their state break away from the U.S., according to the survey.

A "Calexit” campaign already is underway to make California an independent nation. The effort faces extremely long odds .

The poll surveyed 14,000 adults nationwide, and 500 in California, from Dec. 6 to Jan. 19.

Don't pay much attention do you AL !

I said it before and I'll say it again. I could care less what political allegiance of any buffoon who creates a petition to secede from the US. Whether it be Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Green, etc. It would be a major mistake for any state to leave the US because a president has been elected for a term. All of these states pre-dates us and has contributed to the nation through blood, sweat, and tears. All 50 states belong in the Union.

Putting up a petition just shows that people are ready to give up out of the gate instead of trying to settle their matters democratically.

I would agreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Nope, it comes from Mexico. That's what happens when you let foreign cultures overrun your country. Your culture gets washed out. There will be no America as we know it in 30 years.

American culture is ENTIRELY based on a mixture of foreign cultures. So, I am not sure I understand how American culture will be washed out in 30 years.

It's always the Russians isn't it. If there is something I hope our country will learn with Trump's election is l'esprit critique.

Soyons fou let's suppose that the Russians are behind Trump's election and the California Secession Movement. If there is one thing in common with both events is that it is dividing Americans. We all know that divided population is a weak population.

I think the real reason they are threatening to leave is to get attention. Californians probably felt that their voices were not being heard throughout the whole election. It started with the epic fail of Hilary winning California when clearly Bernie should have. It ends with the painful loss when Trump won.

California does feed the US ( although that is as risk because of the drought caused by the imaginary climate change) and is a strong economic power. The only thing they will lose is the military protection. We know the hippies will be too high to lift a finger if their borders are attacked.

California is nothing without a funny president to criticize all the time. California needs the US just as much as the US needs California.

Is that not what Progressives are saying the Russians hacked the election ?

Yes, that is what they are saying. What is bothering you with what I said?
