Can God be proven or disproven?

I just want to hear what you think.

Scientifically, it's impossible to prove and disprove a God. Nobody has yet to disprove a God. I have yet to see actual proof that God doesn't exist because, I haven't see any evidence. On the other hand, I have seen a lot of proof that God does exist.

Oh please do share. Unlike Ms 'wears Jesus on her chest' over here, I actually do not believe in God thus I do not know what alleged proof exists for him, so if you wouldn't mind sharing. If you sense any sarcasm or sass in this, trust me... there's plenty.

I'm assuming you're a Christian, based on you having Jesus in your username. You know the proof that exists for God.

I saw a nifty video on this a while ago. It started off showing people who believed, killed, and died for an absolute belief in Zeus (among other Greek Gods) who as we all know live atop Mt. Olympus. This was back before anyone had ever succesfully scaled the entire mountain, so as far as those worshipers were concerned, he was definitely up there, and he was definitely real. Some years later (I don't remember the exact times and dates from said video sorry) we climbed that mountain, we prepared to meet God, and guess what? He wasn't there. This video goes on to talk about religions that have failed because we reach the heights these Gods are supposed to be at, and they aren't there. It wrapped the video up, in my opinion quite nicely, by mention the Judeo-Christian God who's currently alleged to live outside of space, and how humanity is coming for him.

To sum it up and give my answer, no we can not prove or disprove God. God is an idea that will always be just out of human reach, and humans will probably believe in him forever, so long as we keep trying to find him.

That answer mostly wraps up why we can't prove God. As for why we can't disprove God, well in my opinion, it's because you can't disprove something that does not exist in the first place. It'd be a pointless waste of time to try to disprove other mythical creatures such as elves , fairies, or unicorns, because we are quite content that they do not exist, but for some reason God is on a different wave length than that, for now at least.

One thing we can disprove though, and should count since the religious like to try to use this as proof of him, is his alleged miracles and prophecies.

Well said. I am a liberal Christian but I agree. .

You agree with this?

Scientifically speaking no he can't.

Agreed to a point. What do you think about theists that are honest about that?

WELL TO PROVE GOD SCIENTIFICALLY you must get through an scientific aspect, which I means that you see things in way of science, but God is a religious matter therefore god should be viewed through the Christian aspect. SO BY PROVING GOD WITH SCIENCE, IT IS A SIMILAR THING TO STUDY SCIENCE WITH A BIBLE. BUT JUST PROVE IT THROUGH ASPECT WHAT -EVER YOU BELIEVE IN
