There is so much insanity coupled with confident stupidity in this country that Trump could win again. Confident stupidity is a great phrase. Really nails it. And believe me, it's a by-product of American capitalism. Rich people get to tell smart people they are stupid because everybody wants their money. I can't take credit for that phrase, it's actually a thing. Studies have shown that stupid people are often more self confident than smarter people. Stupid people often have "deficits in metacognitive skill, or the capacity to distinguish accuracy from error". In other words, they're so stupid that they don't have the ability to comprehend their limitations which can lead them to believe that they're far more intelligent than they actually are which leads to delusion. In other words, they're completely fucked up. Oh, and for you stupid people reading this, look up 'metacognitive ability'. oh hell never mind, just watch a movie called 'Idiocracy'. 2
