Yes, its contradictory to majority of atheists, but yes they can. atheism is a lack of belief in a god, there usually is no belief asserted because there is nothing backing it up, atheism is usually skepticism towards god. naturally if you are going to have skepticism towards god for it being a superstition then what would make you want to give the concept of ghosts a free pass? but atheism only refers to a god, and as long as they lack belief in a god, they are an atheist wether or not they believe anything else. ??? whats your point... secondly that's not completely right, even if an atheist says that's their position then they are likely communicating wrong. an atheist says they are unconvinced of god, an agnostic says they don't know... majority of atheists are agnostics, and majority of agnostics are atheist... they cannot replace each other one is about knowledge the other is about belief. an agnostic chooses to not be an atheist or theist (usually) and whenever asked about their belief they say they don't know... but this counts as a lack of belief and therefore are an atheist. atheists (usually) are agnostics, because they lack belief based on the impossibility to know if it exists. the difference is an atheist will admit that they are also agnostic if asked if that's the case, an agnostic won't. if you are not a theist you are an atheist, A = not or without (or non is very applicable) so atheist literally = nontheist. an atheist and nontheist are definitively the same. It depends on the definition of spirituality. "Buddhism is atheist, simply because they don't believe that there is a God, but Buddhists still hold spiritual beliefs." That is simply false. Buddhism is as much a religion as anything else. Buddhists often worship past Buddhas, relics of current (and some past) Buddhas, scriptures, and even the future Buddha, Maitreya. Fundamentally, they believe in an afterlife (a fundamental tenet of religiosity) because they are attempting to break OUT of the cycle of rebirth by achieving nirvana. Side: No

Yes, I was poking fun at atheist. If you want proof God exists, ask an atheist. One cannot be opposed to something that doesn't exists. If this was true, then there is nothing to oppose to. When one makes such a statement as God doesn't exist, you can ask who said he did? Side: yes

They reject God because they say it can't be proven. And ghosts can't. Oh people say they have pictures and all, have felt and talked to them......just like people have said they have seen angels and the Virgin Mary...but it makes no sense based on what athiesm is that they would fall for something so ridicuous. It takes faith to believe it......and well...if someone is stupid enough to believe in God as they say.... why would they believe in ghosts? What about that spaghetti monster? LOL Side: No

I would not think so...its not scientific and not been proven. They only believe in what science has to say...and they say science rejects God so therefore how could they believe in an entity....they can't communicate with? Now people of faith might believe in them. I believe there is something out there......angelic and demonic. Last night.....I got up in the middle of the night for a drink. The chandelier over the kitchen table was on. It is a very bright light. I shut it off. I went back into my bedroom but noticed a bright light shining through the bedroom porch window. I can see the kitchen from there. The light was back on. It upset me so much that I never went back to sleep. Told my husband who said it must be a short. It is not any short. I tested it a few minutes ago. I can't explain it. It upset me but I am not afraid. I was last night because I thought it might be an intruder....but it was not. Side: No
