Well let's look at it Nom. A person can try to obtain and keep a certain amount of wealth for many reasons.

1)In order to have resources to help others.

2)To keep money out of the hands of competitors who seek to destroy their wealth making abilities.

3)To have something to hand down to their kids.

4)For freedom from working for someone else.

And so much more...

Some people, especially those in business have, ''the knack'' for making money, but a few of those who have this congenital talent don't always rate money as being the most important feature of their achievements.

Many judge creating employment and wealth within their community and the ensuing respect it commands as the overriding aim of their talents.

Can you have money and not love money at the same time?

Hello G:

Money is simply a storehouse of wealth.. The dirt my house sits on, is ALSO a storehouse of wealth, and I don't love dirt.

Truth is, though.. I like dirt BETTER than paper demonstrated assets, like cash or bank accounts. Paper becomes worthLESS, whereas dirt becomes worth MORE.. Funny how that works.

But, if there ARE people who LOVE their money, so what?? Why SHOULDN'T somebody LOVE their brand spanking new Ferrari? I can't tell if you're jealous or pissed off?? Did somebody hurt you?

The problems arise when money is what you love MOST. If you love money MOST you come under that "Jesus thingy": "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to get to heaven." (I think that's how it went).

I would not like to be a Christian who loves his money. If you love it, you want to keep it, make it grow …. To hell with you ….. ;-)

Yes. Making money grow is stupid and evil. Let me get a toddler to see if it makes sense to them...

I NEVER said making money was stupid and evil. Obviously MANY of those who make money ARE evil, but it's not the making of money that's evil. If they don't cheat their contractors, their customers, their workers, they pay their fair share of taxes, chive on! I was quoting a fella named Jesus. (Allegedly). You remember him??
