People come here to tell the world what they think. they are too busy listening to their own thoughts to even aknowage someone else might be right.

It's not impossible, but in my experience everyone seems to have grown found of the "fail and bail" method of opting out of a debate. =/

no my mind never changes with open debate because I do the research beforehand. for instance.. the ps3 and xbox debate on this site. I knew beforehand when I made the decision on buying either the 360 or ps3 that the ps3 had better in every way. This includes the internal hardware (most important). Higher hdmi output, blueray, etc. The 360 still uses dvd's !

so with other things I still do this kind've research. Now the stubborn ones you speak of, you can't change their mind. They DO come here just to rant and say whats on THEIR minds. Not that THEIR minds are right, because in most cases they are wrong. Even when others put proven facts and links before them, they can still be ignorant and talk about something else (or make fun of the poster at that point). That still shows that the OP was correct though

It depends on who that someone is. For example most Caucasians rarely admit their faults and African American are constantly forced to admit theirs. Whites are stubborn down to the bone. African Americans however are constantly changing their minds. That's why on this website if you really pay attention whites are firm on their position no matter how much evidence there is contrary to their position. On the other hand you will find blacks flip flopping from one point of view to the next. No matter where you look you will find this trend even..... in the white house.
