Capitalism is not a permanent solution

I feel like people are praising a system that has proven itself to not be a good one in the long run. Yes, capitalism was great in the 50's, and I also think it is great for countries that are ....basically starting from the bottom.

But the design of capitalism is destined to fail.

Two people start separate businesses of the same kind. One does well and the other badly, in fact so badly the the owner wants out of the business and out of his debts, so he sells his assets to the one that does well. At first it's innocent, just buying out other businesses... but then it evolves to where you start buying your way into other industries, and sooner or later there will be one left standing.

The structure of capitalism allows this to happen, it will always happen and it has happened - yes it was great once, but it's time realize and accept the fact that capitalism isn't a love story. It was a summer fling that was awesome while it lasted.

You can't have a system that was built to benefit the few be everlasting as it will eventually return to bite the many in the ass. Capitalism only functions well in places in which human rights are negligible and industrialization is prevalent - its a system designed to cut corners and make those who are in need even more so.

I tend to agree. Eventually capitalism becomes a " criminal ring " that is designed to rob everyone. We do not care how many people we kill or maim for life as we many a buck at it. Take cell phones. The phone company was created to provide that utility to as many people as possible at the lowest possible cost. But then the cell phone came and the phone company took out all pay phones to force people to buy the cell phone. Now they are streaming movies to the cell phones so instead of killing people while text instead of driving, now they can watch movies as the drive. And the answer is, " well we said it was illegal to text and drive ".

The same with businesses. They only survive because of government regulations not in spite of. Examples ? Ok. They have to keep passing laws forcing people to but things. Businesses are permitted to lie in the sales information and they call it " puffing the product ". What happened to me business getting bigger because I give better service or product ? And lastly, we allow business to pay such low wages that the employees have to get food stamps and other help to survive... in fact they force taxpayers to supplement employees pay and benefits...

Like so many whingers and smart ass fireside business tycoons you forgot to submit your detailed and realistic alternative.

WHAT IS IT?, IN DETAIL.

The scenario which you presented is simply eye-wateringly stupid.

The world is full of businesses from small one man bands to giant multi-national corporations, all trying to stay ahead of their rivals in innovation, excellence of product and competitiveness.

This is why capitalism is good for the consumer.

Capitalism does eliminate the weak, inefficient and slovenly from the market place ensuring that only the fittest survive in the cut and thrust world of business.

From the competitive worlds of ''Sammy the Handyman'' to the Automobile Manufacturing industry and all the million other competing enterprises in between we can view the success of those who merit their position and the failure of the dull minded neanderthals who just didn't evolve or adapt to the ever changing conditions of market demand.

If we follow your madcap logic to it's natural conclusion then there would be only one company servicing each category of business worldwide.

One worldwide grocer, one aircraft manufacturer, One butcher, baker and candlestick maker.

In future, think before you make an idiot out of yourself.

Capitalism is designed to fail so you say. Well okay then what should take it's place ? You are socialist i see and you can keep that in your country of Denmark because it is not needed in the United States.

Even if it ends by class struggle, it would still have been the last system where your individuality matters.

The graph goes back downhill from here.

But, all collective human history is one of class struggle, so it, as a system, might soon be overthrown. Depends on what you mean the problem to be, to decide whether it can make for a permanent solution.
