For one person to say that it is ethically acceptable to raise and slaughter hundreds of thousands of plants to over feed America would have to think that Man has some sort of domain over plants. For them to think that they must either be religious or arrogant. In my humble, theist, opinion I say that the life of a man is equal to the life of a plant. Would it be acceptable for a more advanced plant to raise and slaughter humans for over feeding its population? No it wouldn't because life is life and is a precious thing. Raising plants in unhealthy conditions, slaughtering them inhumanely, and having thousands of pounds of the plant go to waste is unethical. We should take only what we need. Eating plants is not unethical, but the way it is made in 3rd world countries is unethical. ;) Side: Carnivore

Your argument is semantic. The word life is different when applied to plants and to not acknowledge that is ignorant. We are an inhabitant of Earth and naturally we must take life to maintain life. As I said eating meat is not unethical, just the way we do it in America is. You are a theist and arguing about ideas that center on that belief is useless, because you are narrow minded and stuck in your ways. Anything you support that depends on your faith is biased. Vegetarians are unnatural. God put these animals upon this fine Earth so that they could be eaten and pull carts. If you leave them alone too long (vegetarians!) then they might evolve and the next thing you know you will be the one pulling a cart and ending up on the menu in a French restaurant. If you don't want to live like that, eat animals. Side: Carnivore

Logic behind vegetarian is simple if we slaughter a bull/cow how much beef it produces & for how many people it is sufficient , max 5 or 6 but then how much veg food that bull/cow consumes for long period of time is surely a large number ,many people can be feed on that food which is given to animal & then those animals are slaughtered (Veg Food) --> (bull/cow) --> (Non-veg) Quantity of 'Non veg' is surely less than Veg food given to animal. Hence we should eat only veg food. Side: Vegetarian
