Cats or Dogs?

Which do you prefer?

Well I like dogs, but not those huge dogs, like Great Danes. I also don't like mean dogs like pitbulls or little toy dogs. As for the rest, dogs are fun and energetic. Cats are so boring, since they basically just hide in corners and shadows (at least the cats I know). I also think dogs are much stronger than cats and look much healthier. And they're better. :p

i say dogs because i had them all my life im training my dog roo to show jump but i cant get a cat to show jump :-\

Side: Dogs

I prefer dogs, paws down BUT, I did have a cat for 19 years and he was a corker. As you said MK, they just kind of lay around and are very aloof but they can be fun. I love the thought of a Great Dane but couldn't afford to feed the beast! I am also not fond of very small dogs, they make me nervous with their constant yip-yap noises. From what I understand, Pit Bulls are not mean by nature...they are made mean by their owners just like a Rottie who is trained to protect. How sad is that?

I just love dogs. They always seem to comfort you when you had a bad day at the office. You can stare at their begging puppy look and drown all those anxieties you have in life. I have three in my house and they all are just awesome pets.

i like dogs better because you get to see them more often then your cat. my cat just hides in corners and when you try o pet him he runs off. Plus for anyone who says that cats are more independent then dogs are right but if their more independent that kind of defeats the purpose of having a pet in the first place.

Dogs are more lovable. Cats remember shit that they shouldn't remember and then proceed to get your ass back. Like that time when you stepped on Fee Fee's tail? She is gonna get you when your sleeping. When you stepped on Roofus' tail? He forgot about it 30 seconds afterwards and then ran around you and you went and played fetch. Dogs are much more kid friendly, and just all around nicer.

I love them both but I have to say dogs.

1. My little pomeranian always knows how I'm feeling. When I feel energetic or happy she'll come up to me and start barking and jumping up on me and I know she wants to go outside and play. When I feel sad she'll cuddle up to me and comforts me :) When I had a cat she'll come up and stare at me and then leave :|

2. Dogs aren't as aggressive as people think they are. It all depends on their owner and how they treat them and train them. Cats will attack you know matter how close your relationship is with one.

3. Litter boxes make your house smell like shit. When my dog goes outside all I have to do is take it with a bag and dispose of it.

4. Even if cats might clean themselves I still have to give them a bath and its actually harder than a my dog and she has a lot of fur. I've also had bigger dogs and they were easier too.

Cats might be friends, but dogs are companions.

dogs are always the most playful. they play fetch, you can take them for walks, and you have something to sleep with at night!!!

Side: Dogs

I prefer doggies because they have those precious eyes and those tags wagging and just begging to be picked up and loved.

Side: Dogs

Cats are such beautiful creatures, such sleek fur, such expert agility and balance. I admire all of these qualities in cats, however, my favorite part of having a cat other than a dog is that cleaning up after a cat is a lot easier. :P

Cats are more independent than dogs and I'd much rather be attacked by a cat than a dog.

I'd rather not get attacked by either car or dog. Of any size. they all have teeth and claws. :)

I can tell you this Grandpa...I was attacked by my own cat when he was still technically a kitten and he left over 100 puncture wounds on my legs that night! I'll never forget it.

Let's review the pros and cons of each:

1. Cats are self-cleaning. Dogs accumulate filth until they're walking garbage cans.

2. Cats are house-broken. Dogs leave steaming piles on your lawn.

3. Cats don't drool.

4. No one's ever been maimed or had their face ripped off by a domestic house cat.

I watched this show on animal attacks on animal planet and there was this kid just walking down the street and then unprovoked a pack of domestic dogs who weren't even feral or anything attacked him. Don't hear about cats ever doing something like that.
