Change the penalty for any one crime.

If you could do this, would you, what law, and what would you ammend the penalty to be? Why?

The law must already be in place, so the option to create your own law, is not included.

Possession and use of drugs should be completely penalty free, in fact it shouldn't be a crimen at all. I have a human right to think and feel whatever I want. The illegality of drugs contradicts this fight.

Obviously I should be punished for harming others while under the influence of anything, but there's already laws in place to punish such crimes.

The question I am asking if it's right that people get punished just for taking drugs. If I took a drug in a desert, completely isolated from people, should I get punished? I can't imagine any good reason for punishing someone like that.

Already is legal in Spain!

Gotta love Spain. Everyone should learn from your example.

Just offering this as a potential idea not my own necessarily, with the way our system is currently, would you at least push for drug allowance zones? Specific areas where you could use specific drugs?

I think the idea you point out is brilliant. Only a government that is afraid of science wouldn't experiment with drug allowance zones. On a small scale, things can be monitored, controlled; things can be tested. If your hypothesis is that drugs are 'evil' while you don't dare to test your claim, then you must be afraid that you are wrong.

Drug allowance zones can be ground for gathering information in either direction. There's really no moral reason not to expand our knowledge about how drugs influences social behaviour, and that's really all what drug allowance zones are about. They are a test, and they can be disrupted quickly and painlessly.

It seems that the question of drug allowance zones isn't at all a moral question. It is a question of whether we want to know truth or not. We have a chance of learning; only the completely irrational nation would neglect such a chance.

The marijuana laws should be changed, so, someone is not arrested for possessing it.

Nebeling said it way better. You should try that thing you claim to do known as reading.

I think rape of a minor, where I live anyone under 18, should be published by death.
