I support China because even though the U.S. has more advanced technology because, China's soldiers are VERY well trained. If a high trained boxer was to defeat a normal boxer who has spiky gloves, who would win? Of course the high trained boxer! So, GO CHINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Side: China
Um I don't think so. If China were 2 piss off the U.S we just wouldn't pay the trillion of dollars we owe them. That would send China into a economic downfall. "If a high trained boxer was to defeat a normal boxer who has spiky gloves, who would win? Of course the high trained boxer!" Wrong. Most of China's military is made up of untrained farmboys. And the U.S 's advanced weapons are a major factor. Basically how can you shoot something you can't see? That's how good our technology is, you can't see us until we have a pistol aimed at your face. No. China's soldiers lack skill. The US has about 1.5 million active soldiers, China has about 2 million active soldiers. Now, 1.5 mil highly trained soldiers, or 2 million soldiers that don't know how to fight? And besides, China forces a lot of people into their so-called army. I think it's what, the oldest person per family or something? We also have the technology that is 20+ years ahead of China. An example is their new J-20. It won't be fully operational and in combat until approx. 2017-2020...it's clearly a rip-off of the F-22. The F-22 was in combat since the late 90's, and don't even get me started on tanks. So here's how it sums up: Guns: China Numbers: China Skill: USA Technology: USA Aircraft: USA Money: China Navy: USA Overall, I'd say the USA would pretty much dominate the Chinese in a 1v1. If we include allies...well, that's off topic. Side: USA
I believe we already had a debate almost identical to this one (which was called "could china defeat any country in war" and quickly turned to "could china defeat U.S.A in war") My opinions with China because I am extremely anti-american due to the fact that U.S citizens tend to show off and boast about there economic acheivements and military power more than anyone else and then get all surprised when they get attacked by terrorists. I also surpport China because they look at work a whole different way. Western people's view on work: Work=money money=good more work=more money work=dont like money=like less work=like, more money=like Therefore-find some law-avoiding way to make a million and live easy for the rest of your life Eastern Asia's view on work: work=money, money=good work=good Therefore-work all the time, and since they dont have a limited amount of time they are allowed to work, they do that. My opinions with China because I am extremely anti-american due to the fact that U.S citizens tend to show off and boast about there economic acheivements and military power more than anyone else and then get all surprised when they get attacked by terrorists. That has little, if anything, to do with military might on either side. Side: USA
Actually it has a lot to do with the military strength. If I have the intelligence to think that it is a good idea to boast (as Axmeister said) about achievements then I should be aware I am really going to wind people up who have less economic achievements. Therefore I shouldn't be surprised, as a military leader, if anyone retaliates in some form or another. Because of this, I would say that this has a lot to do with the military might on the sides, as the intelligence of military leaders defines how effective the military power is. So if I were a military leader and I had loads of money, yet I was stupid, the military power of my country may be less of that which a poorer, more intelligent country would have. Side: China
C'mon friends, we're such a racist race! We have racist associations like KKK and many others! Muslim really hate us on how we're making friends with Israel, a country which are hated by Muslims. Iran is one of the country that hates USA and they're also getting supports from Russia and China, which are two biggest army after USA. Also see what did our "soldiers" do in Afghanistan, they killed innoncent people! How are we going to get international support if we're such an arrogant race? Side: China
In my opinion China will win because their population is around 1,5 billion people and most of them are male. Therefore, they might have at least big army. Besides, they spend much money for developing their army and buying weapons. They also have great economic nowadays, when USA in crisis. Side: China

The US does have a far greater offensive military capability than China, I will not argue that. But there will be no conflict between the two seeing as 16% of America's imports are from China and 20% of China's exports are to the US. The economies are symbiotic and need each other to survive. America can do nothing to stop China's 14% growth rate and large export based economy but the neocolonial stranglehold the US has on the world will outmatch China's growing economy Side: USA

If this debate refers to a war, the US would have some huge advantages. For example, the missile defense grid in the US is roughly 10 years more advanced than China's, because China hasn't expected to encounter any missile threats for over a decade. Also, China's nuclear arsenal is far less than that of the US, so it things did go nuclear, the US would have a better survival rate, especially considering China's population density. Also, China imports a lot of it's food. Much of it comes from the US. In fact, there are so many people living in China, a simple trade embargo could possibly starve a third of the nation. However, the two economies are so dependent on each other, they would both encounter severe hardships if a war ever happened. Side: USA

Well lets look at the advantages and disadvantages on both sides. For China they have the largest population on earth, and thus they have more men power available. However China doesn't have nearly the capacity to mobilize its army like the US. The US by far has more advanced technology than China. Not to mention the US has unquestionably air and sea superiority. The US spends 5 times more than China on its military. $690 billion vs $129 billion. The US has 11 nuclear armed aircraft carriers. China just has one air craft carrier. Both economies depend on each other, so i doubt that they will foolishly get into war with each other. However if they were to go to war, the USA will beat China. Side: USA
