Christians,
So in the bible (book of Genesis) it says that man was made from dirt; woman made from a rib bone. This means that the bible is incorrect.
Also, in verses 2 Kings 2:23-4 it says that God sent 2 bears to brutally murder 42 innocent children for calling someone 'baldhead'. This means that the bible is immoral.
You're a terrible Christian if you don't remember famous stories like Jesus coming back from the dead or walking on water. I haven't been a Christian for years and years and I still remember those stories... how can you not remember them, obsessive Christian boy you are?
To save Ave some time (he'd have to link half the Holy Bible to you to adequately display all the incorrect or immoral things in there) why don't you just pick up a copy and start reading on page 1?

I am not a terrible Christian I do remember a lot of famous Bible stories and I read my Bible everyday.
Then why the fuck did you ask him to link Bible verses about the great flood or Jesus walking on water? I would think you would remember these stories off tops, like I do, but short of that it's not difficult to go look them up.
The reason is because I want to look them up in the Bible and its not like I memorized the exact book or verse but I know its in the NT and the flood in the beginning.
I do remember a lot off the top of my head but not the verse where it states it.
Google.com is a great resource for looking up things you don't remember. Though I haven't actually tried it, I'm sure you could find what you're looking for in a heartbeat by searching for "bible flood verse." It's not fair to expect Ave to copy/paste half the damn Bible to you in order for you to consider his point; if you have beef with a specific verse, look it up yourself and then bring it to the table.
And at midnight the LORD killed all the firstborn sons in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn son of the captive in the dungeon. Even the firstborn of their livestock were killed. Pharaoh and his officials and all the people of Egypt woke up during the night, and loud wailing was heard throughout the land of Egypt. There was not a single house where someone had not died. (Exodus 12:29-30 NLT)
YOU pay attention in church dumbass. I'm a satanist and I know more than you. I don't even GO to church.
No, it was not the first time I was wrong. Everyone is wrong about something somewhere somehow. At least I admit it ;) By the way, thanks to whomever down-voted me admitting my mistake. Seems like the legit thing to do.
I don't really get why you think the Bible is wrong. Adam was created from the earth by God, then later he took a rib bone from Adam and created Eve out of it. What wrong is there?
The following came from the Institute for Creation Research (they explain it better than I could):
2:24 cursed them. Elisha did not curse “little children,” as the King James Version translates the phrase (II Kings 2:23). The Hebrew expression frequently connotes young, unmarried men of any age up to about thirty. This was evidently a gang of young hoodlums, instigated by the heathen priests of Baal to ridicule Elijah’s successor. The jeering exhortation to “go up, thou baldhead” (II Kings 2:23) was both a sarcastic reference to Elijah’s supposed ascension (which they disbelieved) and a personal insult to God’s chosen prophet. This challenge to Jehovah and the authority of His prophet could not be excused, so God made good on a warning issued long before: “And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me;...I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children” (Leviticus 26:21-22).

We were not made of dirt, and women were not made of a man's rib bone.
You should be educated in biology enough to acknowledge this. If you aren't, go away. I don't want to talk to an individual who is unenlightened with this knowledge.
We share a common ancestry with apes, and we have the remnants of a tail located on our coccyx; evidence you can never refute.

Doesn't matter, they are still youthful human beings. And they wouldn't all be up to thirty, dumbass.

Wow, that is just subjective opinion. You can't label a bunch of human beings a gang of hoodlums as a means to justify their brutal deaths.

GO UP, THOU BALDHEAD? Its vagueness speaks for itself. It definitely does not warrant death.
This challenge to Jehovah and the authority of His prophet could not be excused, so God made good on a warning issued long before: “And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me;...I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children” (Leviticus 26:21-22).
Oh my fucking goodness. ROB YOU OF YOUR CHILDREN.
What a fucked up over-reacting God. XD
If Christians frown upon 'an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth' why doesn't God frown upon 'a half-assed insult for a brutal death by bears'.
You believe what you believe, and I'll believe what I want.
Okay, so here is the problem with that. You have indeed expressed beliefs, but he just presented a thought with reason and you are trying to dismiss it as being equally unfounded which it is not.
Perhaps this is my atheism showing through, but I find subjective interpretations of the Bible to leave something to be desired. Any single phrase or word from that text could have myriad interpretations, and it all comes down to how an individual prefers to understand it. Subjective preferences are not a process of reason to me.
The whole argument was not just comprised of subjective interpretations of the bible, I did provide evidence for evolution that we do in fact have remnants of a tail located on our coccyx, which therefore links us to our relation/common ancestry with apes.
I can understand how you see that. I've questioned myself on these things as well, yet I still believe what I do because I believe it is just and correct.
I cannot bring myself to believe in something just because I believe it. I need a reason to believe in what I do, and I have not found that with Christianity nor with religion more generally. I respect your being comfortable with where you are at though, it is just not a path I could take.
How is a feeble attempt to justify the brutal deaths of 42 youths by calling them "hoodlums" thought and reason? On a moral standpoint, killing 42 young people (which I conspire are to be quite young, since they make such childish tease-words ["Go up, thou baldhead"]) for saying a minor insult, is an act that is extremely immoral. Worse than a serial killer.
Can't you see this?
In all religions in the world, your god, is despicable. So why have you chosen it?
Lemme guess, indoctrination as a child?
And if you're gonna still worship him after this, quit calling a murderer loving and good, okay?
I'm sorry you feel that way, but quit having a cow man! Jeez! I've seen indoctrination, and I can say I've not been a part of it. I believe in God and The Lord Jesus Christ. He has a plan for me, for you, for everyone. I looked at other religions, yet I can find none better than Christianity. I've seen miracles. Maybe the other religions hate us because they envy us? I don't know. Whatever the cause, I believe what I do, and your not going to change it so stop insulting me and my God and find someone else to harass or change their mind. I have a right of religion in this country, so please respect that.
Do you know what "Illogical" means? Do you understand that things can be illogical? Do you ever think of logical things?
Did you know that killing 42 people is an evil act? Can you tell that murder is immoral? Can you put 2 and 2 together and conclude that God killing 42 youths for a minor offense is an act of atrocity? Does you mind work, can you think about it. For once. In the ignorance of your religion. Listen to me. Listen to the logic I am presenting.
I do not give a shit about your flawed beliefs. I do not care if you think the white middle-easterner has a plan for you because that is irrelevant to the current argument. Can you understand that? Do I have to explain to you that you shouldn't be going off avoiding what I have to say. Just because you have the right of religion, does not make you correct. We are not even debating about your right of religion, we are debating about the viability of religion, and right now, you are not making your case.
From the points I have carried out from my argument, explain yourself.
And if you are not willing to debate, why are you on this site?
Do you guys hear something? Almost...like a balloon inflating...? Oh its your head. Im sorry but ENVY you? Please. What a biggoted thing to think. Most other religions feel sorry for you if you want the truth. And they hate you because you think that youre better than every other religion and that yours is the only true one and you try to convert everybody. It's anoyying.
Being in christianity is like having blinders on your whole life. You cant see whats around you, only straight ahead. Other religions embrace human desires and the world around us. They embrace feelings and life. Christianity is a road to bypassing this life and getting on to the "good part" after you die. If that's the case then whats the part of this world? They look at christians and feel sorry for them in their little box. Condescending as that may sound.
Believe me. Nobody envies you. Christianity is like the beautiful blonde chick with her Parris Hilton doggy walking around thinking everyone else must think theyre so great when in reality everyone feels sorry for them.
I do respect your freedom of religion. Your choice is your choice and thats cool. Whatever makes YOU happy, go for it. I just dont understand how you can not see the evidence? A human cannot come from dirt. I dont know if that's a difficult concept or what. It just doesnt happen. And a woman from a rib is the same. It's just not physically possible. And if god can poof the universe into existence and all animals with a whim, why did he need substance for man? There are waaaaaaay too many unanswered questions. Science and christianity just do not work together. I really dont get how anyone can believe that stuff. Im sorry, i just dont. If you wanna follow jesus's teachings then great, there are some great life lessons and morals to follow and thats fine, but i dont get how you can justify the IMmorral parts of it?
Im just confused is all. If you want my opinion, take a look at everything you believe over again. Analyze it with an open mind. Look at both sides of everything. If you believe what you in your heart and mind believe. Then ok. But if you're just filling a niche that youve been placed into, it may seriously benefit you by finding what you DO believe and where you actually fit.
What I'm "believing" in is the closest to the truth.
and I'll believe what I want.
Despite that belief being illogical, that is one step closer to becoming a mental patient, sir.
You disagree with I believe
I disagree, with compelling evidence.
I also mentioned that we had proven remnants of a tail on our coccyx, how are you going to dispute that fact? Oh wait, you can't. Because you are the one at fault here.
vice versa.
You disagree with nothing but this crappy argument which I find is placed inappropriately under my logical argument. Have you lost sight your morality to think that God murdering 42 youths is perfectly moral?
What I'm "believing" in is the closest to the truth.
While its true that there is some scientific evidence to evolution , it is just a theory nothing, nothing less. To say it is 100% correct is complete bullshit.
Despite that belief being illogical, that is one step closer to becoming a mental patient, sir.
Did you know that almost 95% of the bible was actually proven true. Also I don't think its fair to call someone a mental patient just because they believe in something you don't.
