Clearing up confusion on the unfairness hell

Many people bring up the issue that sending people to fell for finite deeds for an eternity is unfsir because the punishment does not fit the crime. However they miss the point. The reason people are sent to hell is for rejection of God. One of two things happen:

1) You disbelieve in God. God says ok in your worldview I do not exist. So God sends you to hell because he is not there.

2) You complete reject God and say you do not want any part in him. So God sends you to hell because he is not there.

In both cases you are given what you want. Even number one is more leanient to number two because number one is usually said in a way to say number two without the consequnces.

So just ignore logic, common sense, and science and put your faith in an invisible being in the sky and hopefully if you die younwon't be sent to burn for all eternity, sounds completley fair, how do you know islam is not the true religion, arent you afraid of the muslim hell?

So if serial killers and rapists believe in and accept god the don't go to hell? Mhm that sure does clear up confusion.

Atheists don't believe in hell, and not believing in god doesn't mean you don't want to

How is that fair? "I didn't give you much evidence of my existence other than an ambiguous book, but you should have still believed in me... so, you're sentenced to eternal suffering in hell!".

For such a loving God, he sure does hold a grudge.

Romans says he made his creation in a way to reflect his glory so that nobody is without excuse. That's strange, every culture has their own form of a god..... Its people that are "more intelligent" that deny the existence of these gods or more specific, God. Hmm what's that I remember....the fools became wise in their own eyes.... But what about the Christian God? Every culture worships creation but its the Christian God that sends people to hell for not accepting him. Well it just so happens that God sends people into the world to preach about the Christian gospel message. The "third world" countries who glorify in gods creation usually accept God in overwhelming numbers. Its the "intelligent" people that reject God because they "know better" (fools becoming "wise").

You're obviously a Christian, or else you wouldn't have a picture of a cross as your user pic. So why do you buy into the Bible, but not the Qur'an? Christianity is not the oldest religion. Judaism isn't even the oldest religion... yet God created Adam and Eve. He personally spoke to them... but history has taught us that Polytheism came before Monotheism. People that should have known about God's existence, believed in multiple Gods... which contradicts the God of the Bible.

I just dont understand why us non believers have to go to a realm of eternal torture for an eternity to live in a world without god, if God is really just trying to give us what we want why not send us to another heaven where we don't know his existence or at least purgatory. Secondly, its not that we don't want God to exist, if I had the choice for a loving, just (as I perceive at least), omnipotent creator existing I would choose his or hers existence. Our non-belief in God has little to do with what we want and more to do with use seriously attempting to have a realistic perception of the world and God just doesnt sound realistic to us... It's not that we don't want this God to exist so we choose to view the world that way.

It makes more sense for God to punish action and not inaction. In fact, it is a contradiction if he punishes inaction. Check out my debate.

Yet several cases come to mind where inaction is punished in our society. Child neglect, for example, is not a crime of action but one of inaction.

Side: cleared things up

Yeah, that is true. At least in that case we know the child in question exists.

There is no Hell. Hell only exists in horror films where it belongs.
