Contraception Is Murder! Or Is It?
I apologize off the bat for the inflammatory title; I've been reading about those who think this is the case, and I am wondering how the people who abhor abortion can't support contraception for the simple reason that it obviates (makes unnecessary) the need for abortion.
Abstinence has a one hundred percent success rate. Some would say that it's unreasonable to expect teens to do this, but some of them, mostly Christians, have done so. So it is possible. It all has to do with how one is raised. The reason we have a problem with abortion, is because parents do not Instill moral behavior in their children.

You're an idiot. Sorry, but it is the truth. What does abstinence mean? It means not having ANY sex. So your comment is just stupid. There is no such thing as semi abstinence. Btw, I , and my three sisters were virgins on our wedding days. My wife was also a virgin. You know why? It's because our parents taught us right from wrong. It was often a painful process, on both ends, but well worth it. If you raise your kids right, they will do the right thing.
I'll only address one thing, because it's the only one that matters. My dad had a little friend he called Big Mac. You can probably guess what it was. It hurt like hell. That's the reason he rarely got to use it on me. I didn't dare disobey him. I knew what would happen if I did. Often times, when I misbehaved, he would quietly mention something about a Big Mac attack. I instantly behaved myself. I think the world would be a better place if more parents didn't spare the rod. Not every child needs it, but some do.
It wasn't child abuse. When I got punished, I knew that I deserved it. And my dad never punished me when he was angry. Three whacks is all I got. It stung like hell, but never left a mark. How is that child abuse? And like I said, he didn't get to use it often. And guess why that was. Can you guess? Because I listened to my dad. I obeyed him. You might believe it's a fantasy, but personal experience proves you wrong. You're still an idiot. Sucks to be you.

As a side note: let's just pretend that grugorg was talking about daddy's big mac as in his severe eating habits, and that if his daughter grugorg disobeyed, her father would have another big mac out of stressful conditions and his health would decline to the greasy big macs, unless her daughter obeyed. Sounds like a good deterrent to me.
All right, genius. How would you discipline a child? As I mentioned earlier, not all children require getting their bottoms spanked. But some do. Show me child that constantly misbehaves,and I'll show you one that never had its hide tanned. Spare the rod, spoil the child. This is what's known as a truism.

The only reason why your father was successful is because you thought the punishment was fair. There are tons of children who constantly act up and also get spanked. You can put children on timeout and they will learn their lesson. The problem is, you have to be consistent.
well i say that it kinda is murder if you get pregnant and who mad you have a baby says you need and apportion then that is making that doctor murder you child. If you husband or boyfriend made you do that the he is very sick.

Keyword there is "person". A fetus is human. it has human DNA nobody is disputing that. But a fertilized egg is not a person. Personhood implies sentience, personality, and a degree of development where we can say that there is sufficient cognitive development to warrant attributing rights to that being.
Well what defines person? What is a person? A person has a capacity to reason, is cognitively developed, is a being with rights and the ability to exercise those rights. A fetus has none of those things. And a fertilized cell even less so.
Suprised "with malice aforethought" is mentioned. It is taking it from the definition of murder when it was first defined as a common law offence a few hundred years ago. If memory serves the correct definition using that wording is: the unlawful killing of another reasonable creature in being under the king's peace with malice aforethought. These days malice aforethought is interpreted to just mean an intention to cause death or GBH.
"Murder is not a scientific term." That is what you wrote is it not ? But then you write this-"It is the unlawful killing of a human being." So give an explanation of your terminology.
Generally, those who says this are referring to the type of contraception that deals with implantation rather than conception. The idea is that if a fertilized egg is a life then preventing it from implanting on the uterine wall for the purposes of rendering it unviable I murder.
Mind you I disagree, but that's the thought process.
First, killing is not automatically murder, it's only murder if it's illegal, and contraception at least in the USA is not illegal.
Second, our species is incapable of asexual reproduction so there is no life being terminated by contraception. It takes parts from both genders coming together in fertilization to make a life.
Third, if any ejaculate is cause for murder then even involuntary nightime ejaculations in your sleep would be at least manslaughter.
Fourth, even the religious have supported concepts like the rhythm method for avoiding pregnancy naturally, and the rhythm method too by not resulting in pregnancy would be guilty of murder then.
Fifth, history has demonstrated many times that leaving women no options for contraception or abortion results in large families which bankrupt and ruin many lives, and extreme destitution is it's own form of killing.
Contraception is preventing conception from occurring and not ending conception. One a child is conceived, it has a life. Before that, it is not alive.
Contraception is the most effective tool against abortion. Nothing to abort, no problem! Well, at least for democrats. The conservatives would have to find a whole new platform
If it were not for religious Neanderthals, there would be little need for abortion. Contraception is much better than abortion. Education is the ultimate. Honesty is so hard for zealots.

COMPLETE GARBAGE! It is the Catholic church thats tells Catholics how birth control is wrong, but most Catholics have no problem with it and do use it.
Life begins at conception for anyone who has taken biology but then again no one ever accused pro choice people of having intellectual honesty.
