Copyright is an outmoded concept.

In today's society the developmets of technology have copyright outmoded.

Please discuss in relation to different mediums of production, the internet and even technology such as phones.

A few years ago, I'd have said no. But, with the internet gaining in popularity, my opinion has changed.

whilst it may seem that technology has rendered copyright an outmoded concept, it is necessary for people to have a claim to their ideas, and work. As original ideas allow for the development of society. it also raises ethical questions in regards to the right of independent thought and of intellectual property.

Why would it be an outmoded concept? It's still valid. I don't think anyone denies anyone else of copyright, unless he/she is a lowlife, cheating swine. We all love free stuff, but using something for free and saying that it belongs to the rightful owner is different to using somthing for free and denying the rightful owner of ownership...
