That is what most religious scientists believe. We don't really know what came before the big bang, so it could be any number of things. If you believe in an all powerful God, then it would make sense to assign him as the cause of the big bang. As an atheist I would rather say I don't know rather than assigning a cause, but to each their own. Side: Yes, why not?
Certainly. It's possible. Is it probable? Impossible to tell. At best we can use Occam's Razor to guide us: it is simpler to have an infinitely small point of energy and matter explode outward due to irregularities and imbalances, than to have that, in addition to a God. As such, we can reduce the probability that God created the Big Bang to less than the Big Bang as a natural occurrence. The same applies to evolution. Because something could have happened doesn't mean it did happen. This is a very important distinction. Side: Yes, why not?
I mean, that is possible according to what we know. Relgion can always change their rules and say "oh wait, I mean god came before that, oh wait, I mean god came before that." It's easy. That's what the religious have been doing for thousands of years. Is it likely? No. Replacing god with the natural state of the universe is basically replacing something kind of mysterious but fairly simple, with something infinitely mysterious, and infinitely complex. Basically blaming god is kind of a cop-out. "I don't feel like thinking... uh god did it, yeah, that's it." Side: Yes, why not?

There's really no reason to assume a god, so it probably didn't have anything to do with it. However that's not really answering the question. In the absolute sense it may be possible because "pre-bigbang" could be anything, if there ever was a time before the big bang. However if we use physics as a guide to what's possible and assume that anything previous to the big bang bore a resemblance to this universe's physics, then it would seem to be the case that the ability to create universes on the fly is impossible, same with using magic. Mind you these are some big assumptions. Side: No!
