Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code" is a bible of sorts:

The Da Vinci Code explained symbollism such as Masonic and Catholicism, and that The Star of David from Judaism is simply a triange hooked togetehr representing the male and female elements of God's dual nature and creation of male and female humans. It has Magdalenism: the idea that Jesus Christ was married to Mary Magdalen, and that their descendants live in France. The Da Vinci Code is a bible of sorts, and has the Magdalenism religion/cult-following. Others say it was just the best-selling novel of all time and that Dan Brown made a fortune off that book as the longest-running novel ever at #1 spot on the New York Times bestseller-list.

I'm on this side simply because people truly believed in the horseshit the book had in it. They litteraly believed in it. That's almost as crazy as Scientology. Therefore, there are some people out in the modern world (since the 3rd world would never believe that crap) who use 'The Da Vinci Code' as a cultist holy book, yes.

it is purely scientific interest.

it is not "about" labels usch as it being "crap" or "horsesh!t": it is a thing to be analyzed and considered on merit or not.

I debated whilst calling it names. If you don't like it, ban or ignore me. I gave an honest debate that included some profanity, so you may or may not choose to see just the profanity of the argument. I don't really care either way, because I know I made a real argument despite you having an obvious stick up your ass about language.

Do I need to repeat my argument in a prissy and preened way for you to feel better? Well, tough shit. You can't restrict my speech, so it's better that you just look away or ignore or get over the speech you don't like.

I made a debate.

Stop being hung up.

The Bible is a sort of instructions, Da Vinci Code doesn't do that, it just covers mysterious religious societies.

It introduces the concept of the Holy Grail as a woman; Mary Maglalene the wife of Christ, it explains things such as Symbology quite thoroughly in a manual-like intricacy of detail....

The big difference is that The Da Vinci Code acknowledges itself to be a work of fiction and doesn't claim that everything it says is the truth. It doesn't promote a religion or a particular way of thinking. It's a novel that incorporates ideas that are clearly true, ideas that some people believe to be true, and ideas that the author made up off the top of his head.
