Death Penalty

What are your thoughts on the death penalty carried out for people convicted of brutal crimes (rape, murder, child molestation, etc.), if done in a way that organs could then be used to help those who need them?  I know some people are against the death penalty because jail is supposedly about rehabilitation, but really, those who are sentenced to death row or to life in prison aren't getting out, especially when there is DNA evidence or a confession on record.  If these prisoners' organs could be used to save lifes, wouldn't that be the best option?

(Note:  In my scenario, the organ donation would be mandatory, although exceptions could possibly be made for religious beliefs if the prisoner practices their religion to the best of their abilities in confinement.)

I find justice for those who commuted an act such inhumane to be sentenced to death is an ironical death. The difference between humans murdering and those with authority who have the rights to do so is that they have an "excuse," to do so. believable that we should digress to an updated for of an eye for an eye "Hirobumi code." this makes the most sense in my opinion for those with reason to kill the person who did such a thing to that persons life. i'm sick and tired of government officials dictating that they are the only ones deemed to murder the wrong. I am in disgust with the current death penalty.

I don't see what's wrong with an eye for an eye. Mr. X did something horrible to Little Joey, confessed, and now he's in jail for life. If that's the case, eye for an eye seems acceptable to me. And in that case, I'd prefer Mr. X's life to benefit someone, so let's kill him and give his heart to the little girl down the street. In many countries, the death penalty is reducing the crime rate, so why shouldn't we take advantage of that?

View on Death Penalty is that it should be totally abolished. I can see the line of thinking when people resort to the death penalty, but does it solve the problem, also is it ethically and morally right. I see emotions and personal beliefs as a ever changing thing that shifts because of events that we experience. The more important things in our lives have a more profound effect on us than others. Such as a couple getting married has more of an effect than losing 20 bucks on our way home. The choice of having the option to take a life away as a right, is no right for me. There are killers, dont be a killer. Anger is a complex thing yet we can recognize it when we hear the word anger, we start remembering all the negative experiences that come into mind. This has been studied that people remember negative things alot better than the positive things. When we have negative experience and we dont want it to happen again so we learn to make better. We do it all the time. The death penalty temporarily satisfies, makes it worse, or just slightly eases pain. But never gets us pass the pain a killer has caused. People say that one can never get passed such a traumatic experience, true we can never have exactly what we had before a horrific experience but we can still live on. And living on,LIFE, is the most precious thing.

I oppose the Death Penalty. I think it is barbaric and cruel.
