Death Penalty for Terrorists: Giving Them What They Want?
Is giving Islamic terrorists the death penalty just giving them what they want... Martyrdom?
Would it be better to just keep them in prison until they die?

There is no worse punishment then living with the consequences of the crimes that you have committed, and giving a terrorist the death penalty is only giving him what he wanted in the first place. They should have to live with themselves for the remainder of their lives, besides there is no honor in suicide- that's just cowardice. Side: Yes

Hey Hellno, i know you'll probably just ignore this, and in no way is this meant to be an attack on you (or the american people) who i have no dislike for whatsoever, i want to make that perfectly clear before you start labelling me again, i have a deep admiration for americans, especially with regard to there workman like spirit (you got that from us you know) and unbeleivable honesty. Now, to the main part of my argument, you say give them the death penalty, i disagree but i wont get into the details why, i wont accuse the US government of being a terrorist state as i know you wont entertain that despite its logical basis. What i want to show you is a CIA backed terrorist who is currently being given exile in the US (because he was a US paid terrorist), his name is Lois Pasada. He is responsible for bombing a cuban airliner in 1976 which resulted in the deaths of 73 people (there is alot of info. to suggest that this was done at the behest of the cia but it isnt conclusive and linked has never been proved). He conducted numerous other cia backed terrorist activites while working for the CIA (your brave boys dont liken to get their hands dirty cause they like to be able to keep up the pretence that they are against terrorism). Read up on this man, read up on how he has been pardoned by the US courts despite most of the haus allegations against him being proven and fact that he is desparately wanted by both tha Venezuelan and Panamanian authorities. Things may not seem so black and white when you do, please open your mind to this, its not propaganda, its fact. If this man had done this to the US he would be considered Bin Laden 2, and you know it. Side: No

I did not see any proof that the CIA actually backed him in his terrorist endeavors, only that he was trained in America at a military base that uses CIA teachings in counter terrorism. We did not clear him of his criminal record, we just refused to send him to a country where it was believed he would be tortured, your source doesn't contain what happened at his rather recent trial. And please don't compare a man who allegedly killed close to one hundred people to a man who killed thousands of Americans and did not do so believing he was fighting for freedom (as Posada was). Side: yes
When they say it is for the religion. Do you believe it? If they say it is for good. Do you believe it? If they say they are sent by God. Would you believe that? Then how can you believe that they can be martyrs? They slayed people. They only need a reason to disguise their crimes. Hence they describe it for The Lord. That is wrong. They can never be martyrs. They were never good no matter what they call it! Side: No

I'm sure most of them would probably chose going home to their women and children than being killed. I'd guess it is a brotherhood thing that they'd spout martyrdom when they know there is no other path for them. The sort of terrorists that would be arrested would not be Joe Soap, run of the mill Al Queda lackeys, the sort that blow themselves to chunks on buses in service to God. It would be far more intelligent skilled military men in positions of some power at least. These are not the men that they portray and are more than likely not gong to want to be killed, as they have something to lose and don't believe half the shit they tell the others. It is only when they can no longer hide their faces and crimes that they will start to play the last hand they have left, a remember me to their people, so at least they will be considered heroes. Side: No
What terrorists really want is 72 virgins, along with the advancement of Islam particularly the establishment of a worldwide caliphate, the reason they hate the US so much is because we have the power and they do not. So in short no because martyrdom is not their ultimate goal. Side: No
